Just wanted to give a quick review of our Segway tour of Celebration yesterday. We had such a great time! We had a 130-minute tour but I didn't make the reservations and didn't pay the bill so you'll have to check the website for pricing.
The Company is called ZE Tours (zetours.com) and their office is on 192 Mile Market 10 near Celebration. The office is a little hard to find - they are in a strip center with The Rock Church and a few other shops/food. But their sign, which is part of the large sign for the complex, actually says Bike Rentals / Segway, without the name of the company. But we found them!
You start off with an orientation to the Segway. I'm a little timid but picked up on it easily. We were fitted with helmets and walkie-talkies and given a Segway. We practiced in their office and then when everyone had the hang of standing, cornering, starting, and stopping, we were on our way!
We traveled via sidewalk along 192 and into the town of Celebration. They offer different lengths of tour so someone on a shorter tour may or may not see the same things we did. Once in Celebration you use sidewalks or boardwalk paths to see the sights around town. We were only on the street for a couple blocks so traffic isn't much of an issue. The guide always clears any intersections / crosswalks and makes sure everyone gets across ok. We stopped a couple times to for a break and pictures and learned a little about the history of Celebration.
To do this tour, you need to be able to stand for a couple hours. They do have a seated Segway available, btw. And your legs will be worn out afterwards! (Wishing I had booked a massage at the Ritz today
)
Here's an album of photos. If you have questions, please ask. I'll try to answer them!
We had a great time and would do it again!
