I went to the Disney Character Wherehouse tonight since I was in the Neighborhood and thought I would give a Review.
This is a great hidden gem if you need to bring gifts home from your trip. It's about 10 minutes or 4 miles north of Dinsneyland. Very easy to get to from the Parks!! Take Harbor North and make a right at Orangethorpe. It's on the right near Michael's.
The Wherehouse itself reminds me of a Dollar Store or a Factory 2 U. No frills and not very Disney inside. However, the bargains were worth the drive. I saw some nice sweatshirts and t-shirts in the store. Many $55 sweatshirts were about $30 at the store. I know one of them I just saw in the Parks so it was a recent add. The Christmas items were the best deal!!. They had the mouse headband with Santa hat in the middle for $3.00. It was buy 1 and get two free!! They had the full Princess Santa Hats for $3.50. I bought a lighted up shirt with matching pants for $14 retailed $27.00. You could also finds some toys, dolls, and Disney Pins.
If you spend $100 in the store you become a gold member. You get 10% off future purchases for the next two years. If you spend $250 you become a platnium member and you get 15% off for the next four years. The discount can be used at other Character Wherehouses as well.
Again, its a Wherehouse so it changes all the times. If your looking for souvineers or gifts on a budget its worth the drive. Prices were 30-70% off and if it wasn't closing I would have bought more.
