We just got back from a three night stay at BWPPI.

We booked our room through Costco Travel and had been guarenteed a 2 double bed room. I had the choice to upgrade for $75 to a King and a pull out couch, but stuck with 2 double bed room, because there were just 3 of us traveling (me, DH and DS15).

When we arrived it was super easy check in. We were told there was a $8 a day parking fee that wasn't covered by our reservation through Costco, which I knew about before we arrived. I had heard that the parking was "tight" be we had no issues finding a spot.

Our room was 274. Much to my surprise we had been upgraded to a 2 Queen and a pull out couch room. 3 queen beds, nice (one bed for each of us, lol). The room was clean, linens were new, and 6 towels in the bathroom (nicer quality towels too!)

The beds were comfy, no complaints at all. The room does have older style TV's but we won't come to DLR to watch TV.

The continental breakfast was better than anticipated. The breakfast is located on the top floor of Captain Kidd's. (I know, the dreaded Captain Kidd's!) But, the breakfast was pretty decent. They had 4 types of cereal, juice, coffee, tea, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, pastries, donuts, toasted bagles and toast, apples, bananas, oranges, and biscuits and gravy. We ate there all 3 mornings. They keep it well stocked and if you ask, they have "to go" containers. We probably saved $30 each morning just by eating there, so great value.

My DH did go sit in the hot tub and said it was nice. He said the pool was smallish, be none of us tried it out.

The location is AWESOME! It is right at the crosswalk. You cannot get closer.

All in all I would stay here again. We have stayed at HoJo's, FFI, The Carousel, and Ramada Maingate. All of these hotels are decent and would stay at anyone of them. In my opinion, closer is better...but best price usually wins out when making a decision on where to stay.

We are headed back to the BWPPI in March. We have always enjoyed our stays there. We'll have to try their breakfast again. We haven't tried it for several years. You really just can't beat the location!

Thanks for the great review! My sisters and I are staying at the BWPPI in April and it's good to get someone's recent take on the place. It's especially nice to hear the breakfast was decent as we'd heard so many bad reviews about it I was wondering if it wouldn't be best just to skip it and pay for food elsewhere, but it sounds like it should be more than sufficient for us!

Thank you for the review :) We currently have a reservation for DI&S but if some of our family ends up not being able to come we're going to have to switch and that's one of our options. The breakfast sounds great :) It was between this one and Del Sol.

Too funny! What's with that place!? Someone is sitting on a potenial winfall.

No meat or other eggs?

Ramada Maingate has added biscuits and gravy to it's continental breakfast recently.

Thank for the review, more confirmation that it's still a great place to stay.

That is funny you say that. My DH and I said the only thing they are missing is some sort of other protien like scrambled eggs or bacon/sausage.

I didn't realize Ramada Maingate added biscuits and gravy to their continental breakfast too. We stayed there in August 2010 and their breakfast offering was pretty sparse. Good to know they have spruced it up.

The Ramada has a much nicer pool than BWPPI, which for a summer trip makes it more attractive to me. Plus they have free parking and it is plentiful.

It is really nice to know there are a lot of decent options.
