omg
there are absolutely no words. i am soooo beyond depressed!! (im sure u all know what im talking about...) i refused to watch the game last night [i was turning into my dad!!!!!] because i was way too nervous and i thought it might bring them luck. so much for that. i had a reallllllllly bad feeling yesterday about the game and so did my dad. i had a feeling they were gonna lose in the afternoon, i pretty much figured they were gonna lose when i heard kevin brown (

) was pitching for us, and i knew they were gonna lose when johnny damon, who was batting like .082 in the series, hit a grand slam. yeah, i cried when they lost. over the entire course of the series i'm surprised my TV or controller or anything else didnt break with how many times i threw stuff at the TV. jeet didnt do very well. nor did arod. especially with that annoying little "swipy" thing he did the other night to knock the ball out of some dude on the red sox's glove. yeah. curse of arod is right.

but here's my theory: the red sox go to the world series and lose right? what have they gained besides the opportunity to say "we beat the yanks in the ALCS?" wooopdy doo!! the 1918 chant can continue until they win the world series. which is not going to be this year. here's my breakdown:
1. the red sox play in the NL field and there is no designated hitter which means david ortiz has to play the field if he's going to be in the lineup (which he undoubtedly will be) and he's not a good fielder.
2. they play the cardinals who have the best, most dangerous offensive lineup in baseball. not to mention one of the best defensive lineups. hmm....

3. they play the 'stros: the killer B's (3 of the best, most dangerous hitters in baseball. great clutch hitters), Roger Clemens and Ray Oswalt (2 of the best pitchers in baseball).
4. them: pedro martinez (who can be a huge headcase) and curt schilling (will he pitch again after that huge outing the other night when his ankle was bleeding so much?) who are both awesome pitchers, but can be doubtful. wakefield, lowe, faulke (good pitchers). and two of the most dangerous, if not THE MOST DANGEROUS words in baseball: David ortiz.
so there's my basic breakdown. yeah, i'm obsessed with baseball. i had my whole yankee breakdown ready to go but so much for that.

*sigh* anyhoo....there's nothing to say really. i'm just really scared about what george steinbrenner is gonna do. i was kind of hoping he had cardiac arrest last night and is hospitalized, but so much for that. maybe his head exploded...who knows. but here are my predictions:
1. he'll fire someone important: joe torre, brian cashman...someone. he needs someone to blame because he just can't STAND the fact that the yanks had a bad outing and lost.
2. kevin brown won't be in pinstripes next year
3. enrique wilson (who said he wants to leave) won't be in pinstripes either
4. our new right fielder: carlos beltran (he's gotten too good to play in houston and the 'stros wont be able to afford him. steinbrenner will outbid everyone and get him. i can just picture george with his checkbook out right now...

) so waht about gary sheffield? we wont get rid of him. what do we need? a first baseman. (giambi wont be playing, or at least i think it's highly doubtful. and john olerud's career is winding down due to age.) so, maybe make sheffy a first baseman. albert pujols made the switch, and look how awesome he is. jeet (if he can hit), arod (if he can hit), sheffy, beltran, matsui, williams...dangerous lineup.
those are my yankee predictions for next year. oh, and we need pitching too.
anyway, u arent already bored to death...waht's up??
