Reusing/Reprogramming Magic Bands

We're looking for a Yoda Magic Band from Star Wars Weekends but if we were to actually purchase one online, from eBay or somesuch, would we be able to program it to link it to our reservations in March?

Only if it has not previously been linked to someone else's MDX account.

Once a band is linked to an account, it can't be removed. It can be deactivated, but not removed.

I wanted one of these also, but i had read that you need to link the band to an existing My Disney Experience account at the time of purchase. So I don't think you would be able to "use" this band, it would just be a collectors item.
