Reusable grocery bag ?????

Where can I find good (that will last a long time) reusable grocery bags from? Something that will hold a decent amount of grocery's in them. The stores in my area still give out the plastic bags (they break taking them out of the grocery cart:confused3). I just want to be ahead of the game and as a plus side not having to pick up my groceries that fall out of the bag (when the bag splits). TIA

I have reusable bags from Costco.

They came 3 to a package and were around $6 for the set (if I remember correctly). They are very large and sturdy (they have cloth handles) and I've used them for about 4 years now.

Well worth the money. :thumbsup2

I'd forgotten, too- I bought these bags for my vacation Bible school last year:

They are a little bigger than a regular brown paper bag, and hold alot. Nice sturdy handles. They are perfect to decorate with Sharpies. :)

It's $72 for 50 bags, which I'm sure is way more than you need, lol. But if you have a few friends who want to go in with you, you could split it.

I have two big canvas tote bags I bought on clearance at Old Navy. They each hold 6 bottles of seltzer/soda/juice plus a few cans or other heavy items. I've been using them for several years with no visible wear despite the heavy packing each use.

I have a couple other smaller canvas totes (old navy clearance) that I use for cans/peanut butter/ jars, anything small and heavy.

For all the cereal, pastas and lighter items I use the reusable shopping bags.

I have a couple of canvas bags I bought at the craft store with a coupon that work well too and wash easily. I use those for produce.

I always pack along one of two plastic bags for the meats to avoid contamination in the bags. (DH always manages to come home with a few plastic bags)

I had a cart full of groceries today and I was able to pack everything with my own bags, it's a great feeling.

So far I like the envirosax , not sure if I like the price though.

Anyone familiar with Blue Avacado bags? How do they hold up? Are they similar to the envirosax?

How about the Sam's club thermal bags? Do you think they are a little to much for regular groceries?

I have several from whole foods-$1 - the ones that say "I used to be a plastic bottle". If they break you can exchange for a new one, but they are very strong. I like that they are kind of "slick" (if that makes sense) because I have a long haired german shepherd and dog hair is an issue. Gross, I know. I had a couple of black ones (I think from wal-mart) and they would pick up dog hair and be embarrassing. One of the black ones was also split by a box the second time I used it. No returns on that one!

We just got an ALDI on my side of town and I got 2 of the $1.99 bags-they are huge! Took them to Sam's Club yesterday and they were great for the industrial size things you get at Sam's!

My Sis-in law has a couple of fancy bags-a mesh one and another really pretty one. She bought the mesh one for the farmer's market, but she doesn't use it because every time she puts it down on the floor or counter stuff falls out-it just collapses.

Happy hunting! I love to shop for bags!
