Reunion Resort in Reunion?

Hi all. Our company recently purchased a condo for employee use at the Reunion Resort. Has anyone recently stayed there? Opinions?

I submitted my request to stay there and it'll save me a years' worth of DVC points...I'm just hoping it's worth it!!

Thanks in advance for anyone that can offer some insight!

Reunion is a gorgeous resort, especially if you're a golfer. The facilities and all are just amazing. The homes are very high end. A fellow Windsor Hills townhome owner bought a place there, it's much nicer than Windsor Hills even (and that's a VERY nice resort!), the only downside is it's much more expensive, some of the homes rent for $500 a night, that kind of range, but it has daily maid service, restaurants / bars, etc, that sort of thing.

They also have central reservations type of bookings, it's not direct by owner like other resorts are, it's run more like a hotel would be.

Great pools, 1 has a lazy river. On opening / kickoff weekend they had a big concert for the owners and guests with huge names like Peter Frampton and the Doobie Brothers playing there, they're really going all out to market it!

Enjoy, wish my company had a place like that for us to use! hehe

YAY!!! Thanks!!! I'm so glad to hear it! I wasn't REALLY worried, as we have beautiful condos all over the country, BUT...the thought of NOT staying on property was a bit scary...

My mom and her sisters...every time they got together (which wasn't too often, they lived "away", and all of them had little kids, and no minivans!), was Neil Diamond on the turntable, dancing in the livingroom, lots of laughter, and just enough wine to add another "candle holder/wine bottle" to the collection

...and an early "welcome to the delights of off-site! You may not ever want to go back on!!" LOL!

Hey guys don't tease me with this. I love Reunion, been there two years ago and it was awesome. Our firm's chairman doesn’t want to hear about buying or renting something there and I hate him for it. I'm sure he will choose a God's forsaken place.

Lots of places are claimed to be 5 star resorts. Few actually are. Ginn is one of those few. Probably overall one of the nicest places in Orlando - right up there with Bay Hill as a golf destination as well. Enjoy your employer's generosity.

I've looked there already but they don't have pix specifically of the three bedroom villas or the floorplan for them. I'm one of those people who look and drool big time!

Reunion is AMAZING, when you go, treat yourself to a meal at the Forte (in the Grande Hotel), it's the very BEST food that I've eaten in Orlando.....also check out the Eleven restaurant in the Grande, it has fabulous views and you can see the Disney fireworks.
