Returning to the magic

Hello, everyone! I sort of became a distant shadow to this forum due to one reason: our annual passes expired and we could no longer go to DL after July 9, 2007. It was very painful, very upsetting to miss out on our usual day trips to the Happiest Place on Earth.

Then, on August 27, 2008 (my 30th birthday), I purchased three one-day one park passes for my mom, sister, and myself. Realizing an advantage in a discount, we upgraded to annual passes! It's not Premium like we used to have, this is Southern California level. Hey, it's better than nothing! So far, we've gone back on August 28, September 5, and then September 21, getting in as much as we could per visit.

One dream did come true on my birthday, and that was getting back into Disneyland...okay, and saying 'hi!' to Mickey was just as awesome. There is still one dream that has yet to be fulfilled and I'm going to keep wishing for it to happen.

I know the AP expiration feeling. It's odd how much it can hurt. LOL Ours expired July 08.

I'm sooooooooooo glad you got to go on your b-day and I'm so glad you got to upgrade!! Enjoy those AP's while you can use them!!

Thanks so much guys! Gisele, thanks! I heard about the birthday offer and am real excited about it.

fairykin, yeah, we have gone a lot just within August and September. All of the Saturdays are blocked for us, but that's not too much of a worry. We usually go on Sundays, Thursdays or Fridays whenever possible.

pixiewings71, I know whenever we played our Disney CDs after our cards expired, we got all emotional! On May 3rd of this year, my mom and I were up at Downtown Disney to see Iron Man and at the same time I needed to exchange my ring with a missing stone. World of Disney had a replacement, but it had another missing stone! Our last check was at the Emporium on Main Street. We got escorted into DL just so that I could exchange the ring. The Cast Member let us go off on our own, too! I was so tempted to do rides, but it was as if we were being tested that day!
