Returning rental care late

I have an existing rental car reservation with Alamo for a good rate. I checked my flight schedule and United changed my departure flight time (without letting me know...that's another topic ) for 2 hours later. My current rate is for 2 days, 2 hours. Do you think I'll be penalized for showing up 2 hours later?

When I tried to modify the reservation or make a new reservation, of course its higher. Even for the same times it's higher.

It depends on how the rate is calculated. If you are paying an hourly rate for the 2 hours, it could go up. If they are charging you for an extra day for the 2 hours, it should be the same. In either case, I would call them to change it. If your trip isn't for awhile, I would wait because there could be another change.

I have called Dollar in the past when this happened to me and they were willing to honor the original rate.

I think there is a 30 min late allowance time . So stick to your original " Hand Back " time + 30 min and relax at the airport for an hour.
