What time is the earliest flight to safely book from MCO after a cruise? TIA

How do you expect to get to MCO? Personally we go with noon, you could probably make 11.

Noon 'maybe' , 1:00 would give you better piece of mind.
You MUST be off ship by 9:00ish but any traffic issue will be stressful for you.

DCL recommends not before 11:30am. People do make it to earlier flights, but if there's any delay with debarkation the earlier times could be impossible.

When is your cruise? Do you have TSA Pre? Took me 45 minutes to bag check at Southwest on Dec 10. Lines at TSA were huge. There are stories of DCL cruisers not making 1:30 flights. My DCL transfer got to MCO at 10:45 due to traffic at the Port.

My cruise is in August. Do not have air yet. I figured I would Uber from port to MCO. No TSA Pre.

In August? First off, you're a braver soul than me to be in Florida in August. That said, I would say 12pm would be safe as August is definitely not "peak" travel season in Florida.

The other consideration is how you plan to disembark. This past Saturday I did express walk off for the first time (I’M A NEW CONVERT IT WAS AMAZING). You need to wheel/carry your own luggage off the ship instead of leaving it outside your door but we walked off at 7:40 after a leisurely Cabannas breakfast and was down the plank, through customs, and out to a bus by 7:46.

You can run a risk with the ship being cleared but that’s rare in Port Canaveral. I’d personally be comfortable with a 11:15 flight in the future.

We did express walk off for the first time this past September. I think we are converts too, it was amazing!

It was also great because we were in the first 'batch' of ships allowed back into PC after Ian, so there were six ships in port that morning (and at least a couple of them weren't scheduled to be). Although we had a rental car reservation we were nervous about getting stuck in long lines/traffic and/or not being able to get our car. So we did express walk off, were in line for the first rental car shuttle and had our car within minutes. Very stress free!

We barely made a 12:35 pm flight despite being at the airport by 10:15 am and in the security line by 10:30 am. 1 pm is the earliest I book flights through MCO now.

I have an Avis reservation for a rental car. I intend to do express walk off. Do I have to wait for Avis shuttle or is there a shuttle for all to share?
Thanks for input!

Avis will have a shuttle. Just be forewarned that our experience with using a rental agency's shuttle has been awful, so you may be stuck waiting at the port for a while.
