Happy New Year everyone!
Can somebody let me know how easy it is (or not as the case may be!) to return an Alamo rental car at Port Canaveral?
I believe that they share the rental location with Enterprise at PC - is that correct?
Can you drop your luggage at the port witout parking up and then return the car so that you don't have to take your cases onto the shuttle bus?
Any advice/experience welcome :goodvibes

I don't think you can just drop your luggage without staying but DH could drop you off with the luggage, then return the car and get the shuttle back by himself. You could go ahead and get checked in and meet him in the terminal. That's usually what we do (although admittedly there are more than two of us).

Thanks Joh!
Is the shuttle journey from the return garage very long?

I'm not really sure where the Enterprise/Alamo rental centre is so I don't know, sorry. I doubt it would be much more than 10-15 minutes away, although it can take a while to get into the terminal obviously - plus there could be a line of people all waiting for the shuttle.

Personally, I would take the rental car back together and catch a cab to the terminal. Or get him to drop you and the luggage, then return the car and catch a cab if the line for the shuttle is too long.

I think it was about 10 minutes when we did it in 2012. It was all fine and to be honest I think it is probably easier than dropping you off then returning later.

Thanks Joh, still weighing up if we should hire a car for a couple of days and return it at PC or just use DCL transfers.

Thanks for the info :thumbsup2
If we do end up doing this then I think we would just stick together and take our cases on the shuttle back to the port :goodvibes

Its almost 5 years since we did it now so might have changed but we dropped cases at the ship then took the car to Budget car rental, dropped car then got on their minibus, quick drop at the RCL terminal then onto DCL. Couldn't have been easier.

Alamo is 9 mins away on Google maps but they will wait til a bus fills and possibly drop at another ship first.
