Just got home last night.What a great vacation and great time we had!!!! I had a split stay between POFQ and YC CL. (I won a AAA contest for tickets, 6 night stay and meal plan). To be honest though I had not stayed in a mod since 1999 and we normallly stay YC in the summer for Storm Along Bay pool. SOOO I ended up splitting the stay.
To be honest I did ask at check in to transfer to YC and pay additional so my entire stay could be at YC. They coudln't do it bc the contest gave a weird reservation number to the reservation. No biggie. Let me say this was the best money I chose NOT to spend this week.....
POFQ - again having not stayed at a mod since 1999 I was not sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. It was a lovely room. VERY clean, nicely updated and a great location in building 7 with a garden view. SUPER Quiet!!!
What I ddin't like was the bedding - VERY noisy sheets and I felt like something was just crawling up and down me every night. Nothing was! I thinkt he sheets are starched to death and pointy. I couldn't sleep the first night! The humming radiator under the window drove me nuts but if you turned it off the walls weren't exactly sound proof. No balcony, to which I knew but honestly our POFQ days were so busy with parks, etc. I didn't have time to enjoy a balcony view....
All in all, a very lovely stay here. I like a food court on site. Pools were nice enough and such a pretty pretty room.
YC CL - my fave all time resort and just as I rememmbered it to be!!! I love my gazebo view and Storm ALong Bay was very much utilizd. This pool was MUCH WARMER than POFQ and POR pool. Bedding and mattresses are divine.
