Return policy - downtown disney?

My daughter has decided that for MNSSHP she wants to be tinkerbell. The best costume we could find (that we all like) is the Disney world exclusive one.

Our thought is to have family (lives an hour away) buy the 2 closest sizes and ship it too us (we're way up north!). We could then ship one back or bring one back to exchange for other stuff you know we are going to spend money on.

However, I don't know how quickly we have to send it back.

(and no we don't want to risk this by waiting till we get there!)

Does anyone know the return policy for World of Disney or the other DTD stores?

I don't know but I was also thinking you might want to call and check(at least so you had good information...you know policies change from time to time).

I have returned a few items that were defective at the Disney Store in town. Now that they are owned by the Children's Palce, I would call your local DDS to see if they still take returns from WDW.

I saved every receipt from our trip as the $85 deluxe aurora gown ripped right away and we had a defective toy or 2 over the years.
