Thursday 20th September - Day 7
Today was another water park day and we headed to Wet n Wild which Mike and I both love, although not as pretty looking as the Disney water parks we just love the slides they have here.
We headed first to Disco H2O as this is Mike's fav slide, we did a couple of other slides then tried the new raft ride Brainwash. This is like Disco but instead of going round and round you go side to side. We rode it again straight away so that we could really enjoy it as the first time you don't know what is going to happen.
We went in the lazy river and then on a few more slides before lunch. I think Wet n Wild has the best counter service food of all the parks i've been to and a good selection.
We let lunch go down then wet on Bubba Tub which is a raft ride. As this always seems to have quite a long queue they often make you ride with another couple which they did to us this time. We got in the raft and then were joined by another couple who were to put it mildly rather large. The raft sunk a bit as we were pushed by the attendant to the edge. We then couldn't get over the edge because we'd sunk, with a bit of wiggling we got over the edge and set off down. Because of the weight of the raft we picked up quite a lot of speed and as we hit the last bump legs flew everywhere then we came to a sudden stop and the big ladies leg came hurtling down and kicked my foot. Oh my God the pain, I thought she'd broken a bone for sure. I limped back to the sunbed, sat down and examined my foot. Everything seemed to be ok so I had a rest before going on a few more slides etc although I did still have a limp.
We hit the changing rooms about 1730. We had planned to play mini golf then go to Sizzler but as my foot was still killing me golf was out but we still planned to go to Sizzler. We had just left the park and where walking to the car park when the heavens opened. I couldn't run so Mike made a dash for the car and I pulled out a towel and wrapped it round the top half of me and limped forward while DBF brought the car back to me. By the time I got into the car the bottom half of me was drenched although the towel had done quite a good job on the top half we decided just to head back to the hotel to change. As we drove out we saw loads of other people leaving the park in their swimsuits and trunks as they realised there was no point getting changed.
Back at the hotel we had a nice hot shower and a rest and then I can't remember what we did next as my notes end at this point! I think we ate in Pop and had an early night as my foot still hurt quite a lot.
Sorry no photos taken today.
Tomorrow: Surprise number 2, MNSSHP and will I be able to walk?
