Return of the castaway club blue sling backpack?

We're pretty new to DCL and have only received the white beach bags. I always bring my own beach bag since it has tons of pockets and doesn't collect sand since it is mesh. The white bags are only used to organize travel items at home.

I'm one of the few that would be excited to get a sling bag. Honestly, I'm hoping for a ton to show up on ebay for a good price.

Same here. Our first cruise as Silver already switched to the white beach bags. Wouldn’t mind the sling bag at all. It actually looks pretty nice.

Even giving them back, giving them to Goodwill, giving them to the kids, we still have LOTS in the basement. I swear they reproduce.

I’m on the Dream in June and am so bummed about this! Have been cruising since 2017 and have gotten the sling bag 5 times. Like many others I stopped taking them home. I know it’s a first world problem, but I was so looking forward to getting the new bag. On the positive side I’m glad I read about this here because at least I am disappointed in advance instead of on the ship.

I think if you are responsible for more than yourself, the sling bag is not even big enough to be functional for Europe or Alaska.

We were considering trying to book a last-minute sailing mid-summer and the sling bag’s return actually feels like a sign from God we should just wait till our Aug+Nov cruises.

Huh - I wonder if this is a supply chain issue (ran out of the newer bags and cannot get more in time) or if maybe they're getting ready for new gifts. Good to know in advance I guess - I was just planning on getting the tote and using that as our pool bag in June, but maybe I need to pack one of our old ones in case (I liked it for throwing in sunscreen, waters, Kindle, etc. to haul up to the pool).
