New York style pizza vs Boston style pizza, which reigns supreme? 🍕

Tried reading that article and it seems to say Boston pizza doesn't exist, but they are trying to make it up.

I'm from just outside of Boston. No. It doesn't exist. Even what they try to generalize - if it's coming from a place with "House of Pizza" in it's name will have cheddar or a mix with cheddar - is wrong. I've gotten my pizza's from multiple different places that use "House of Pizza" in the name and not a single one has ever had cheddar. It's always be mozzarella. We get pizza. We don't think much about what geography it comes from other than Sicilian pizza (which I actually grew up calling bakery pizza because it's the kind of pizza bakeries usually had).

Boston is totally a foodie place but pizza is not their strength (no good BBQ either), their seafood & shellfish is their strength and so are mixologist type cocktails.

Definitely NY pizza, in Massachusetts finding decent pizza has been a quest there are so many ehhh places, and they have no idea what a pie is so don't call it that, nor do they seem to know how to make a calzone, I had have the ricotta added custom.

In our years here we discovered Ernesto's in the North End is outstanding, plus you can grab a slice and walk which is oddly unique here for some reason.

No idea what is happening on the North Shore but we have two places we like South Shore, one is NY traditional and the other is more flavorful but sort of floppy like a home made pizza.

The 2 unique things here are deli sandwiches with "hots" which is a hot pepper relish kind of condiment and also a Roast Beef 3 way, which is a delicious mess.

Not a big fan of Santarpio’s pizza, but it’s also been around Boston for over a hundred years.

I live south of Boston, and I like aaaaaallllllll the pizza! With so many college towns around, there are a lot of good pizza places, and you can get pretty much any type you want.

I don't really see a "Boston" style widely recognized in the way that NY or Chicago style is, but the little South Shore Bar pizzas are good.

That looks really good so I guess between NY and Boston....I would go Boston.

I really love Chicago, tho.
