Return flight - printing SW boarding passes

From what I've read, we can request the concierge print our boarding passes for our return flights 24 hrs prior to the flight.

(We want to get the bp right at the 24 hr mark so we are assured of the A group. - {who doesn't? LOL})

If we leave it with them in the morning as we head to the parks, will they do it at 2:40 in the afternoon (assuming we tell them the specific time)? Or do we have to physically be there in front of them for them to do it?

Thanks for any info y'all can share!

When my DH and I were there in May (at the WDW Swan) we were able to sign an authorization for the concierge to print our boarding passes so we did not have to be present at the 24 hr in-advance mark. I'm assuming it should be the same at the Disney properties.

Personally, I wouldn't count on lobby concierge promising to log you in at a time you won't be there. And I wouldn't trust them to be right on top of things. That' just too much to ask.

If you won't be there in person, I'd have a friend back home log you in at the 24 hour mark, and then just pring out your passes as the airport.

We did the above scenario, then I called the concierge about 1/2 hour after our 24 hr mark w/ my cell phone from the line for the Safari in AK and they confirmed they were printed and in our mail box to pick up on our return. They did a great job, our passes were A and they were numbers 4-7!

I like the idea of a follow up phone call - a reminder in case of shift change or just a plain busy day.

Thanks for the responses. :thumbsup2

May I ask what kind of tip you would give for this type of service? $5 okay? More? Less?

I read on another thread that they will prinjt them for you in the parks as well at the customer service centers. Last year at CSR they would not let us leave them for them to print. Good Luck!

I would strongly recommend a nice tip if you have them doing this type of service. If it were me I would tip at least $10 and maybe $20 if it were for a families passes.

If you have a web-enabled phone you could just check in with that .

I did while in line for BTMRR in June at 8pm for 3 different ressie #'s 1 got 1,6,7,9,&10 then just reprinted at the airport when I checked our bags.

It was super easy to do I've done it several other times as well.

I have done this several times on my Treo. Works well.

I have planned to do this too. I have our confirmation # set in a calendar reminder on my phone, and the check-in site information stored on my phone. I should be able to check in from Epcot the day before we leave.

My DH isn't internet savvy - not to mention he's out on service calls many times and not near a computer - so I can't ask him to do it. Don't really have anyone else to ask that I feel would be reliable. (The one person I'd trust to remember is going with me, so that doesn't help LOL)

Cell/PDA do not have internet (cell has the ability, but DH doesn't want to pay $15 a month for it and when we had the free first month, we hardly used it anyway.)

Guess we'll just have to ask at the parks prior to the 24 hour mark to ask if they can do it there. Don't want to have to head back to the hotel for that sole purpose.

Thanks for the suggestions!
Option 1 - concierge - w/call around the 24 hr mark to check
Option 2 - print in parks at guest services

And they wonder why we keep coming back!!! That is just downright awesome service!!! :wizard:

This is exactly what we'll be doing at the end of the month. The day before our return flight we will be in the parks and don't want to rely on someone at the hotel doing this for us. My sister is all set to check us in, and I will be calling her on my cell to remind her and then calling back later to be sure she did it and and find out what group we are in. We'll just get the actual BPs at the airport.
