I am about to order return address labels for the new DH and I, but a I have a question I am sure you will all be able to help me with....

The Mouse Family

Ellen and Jacob Mouse
123

Jacob and Ellen Mouse

How the heck should I get these things worded!!!:lmao:
We are traditional people, and I want them to be correct

I like your first example...that's always how I get our address labels printed.

I also think "The Mouse Family" is your best option.

IF you are married and share a last name, then use the last name only once.

I would typically put my husband first.

Mouse Family works as well.

But I just deal with whatever is sent ot me gratis. I haven't had to buy address labels in ages. We get some each year from our alma mater. So they are individually labeled with my name or his name.

Ours are simple:

Mouse
123 Way
Anytown, MN, 12345

Actually now, we get enough return address labels from our insurance company that we don't have to buy any. We get them 4 times/year and since we mail out about 10 letters/year now we are good.

We got an embosser several year ago that just has "The 'Blana's", so I like the Mouser Family one best.

We do "family" and then after that we watch the junk mail come from it.;)

Then dh and I get seperate ones too.

I always put husbands name first:

Jacob and Ellen Mouse
123 way

But there is nothing wrong with putting just the famly name:

The Mouse's
123

or
The Mouse Family
123

So now I am down to these two LOL

Ellen and Jacob Mouse
123 way

OR

Mouse Family
123 way

I'd just go with the Mouse Family.

I mean...if you never had kids, wouldn't you still be a family? So "family" counts even if it's just the two of you.

And unless you're sending out millions of pieces of mail, if you do plan on kids, you might very well have one of them by the time you're done with the address labels you're ordering now, and you wouldn't have to reorder because it would be inclusive of any kids. :)

We haven't done this, we just take what comes in the mail from insurance companies, etc, and thank goodness, b/c we're NOT traditional. We each kept our own name, and hyphenated DS. Sometimes I like writing it all out, that's fun. :goodvibes

I just recently bought our first return labels! :bride: :goodvibes

Our labels read...

Robert and Meaghan AKL
123 Anystreet

According to "stationary etiquette" believe it or not there is such a thing, the woman's name comes first and the man second because the woman is taking the man's name and the man should not be separated from his last name. Yes it is very old fashioned but that's the way it goes! I learned this when we were doing our wedding stationary last year!

Good luck! I also like the family way too!:goodvibes

Dh is a jr so our labels are
Niki and DH Mouse JR

Our's say
The Lastnames
I like your first option the best
