Retro Disney Knapsack???

I am looking for a GREAT knapsack to carry into the parks when we go in January. I want it to be fun, look good and "work" for all of the things we need to carry into the parks...Anyone know anything about the Retro Knapsack on sale at the DisneyStore.com?

Any other tips on great backpacks or totes???

I have 3 Disney backpacks and while I love them for some things I don't use them for all day jaunts like WDW. Target has REALLY nice Eddie Bauer ones that go on sale a lot, they have padded staps and lots of pockets so you don't have to dig through everything every time you want something. We have used ours 3 years now and it still looks brand new.

The DS ones are nice but the quality, number of pockets and comfort are just not there - IMHO.

We saw the retro disney knapsack at the catalog outlet a couple of weekends ago. At first I thought the same thing as the OP. But when we looked at it further we noticed the straps are a little flimsy- just one strip, not very wide and no padding. (Which is really nice after a long day in the park) It is also wider than it is tall, which made it a little awkard when you try it on - it only comes about halfway down your back.

I guess it would really depend on what/how much you take into the park. If you just bring a poncho and water bottle, it would be fine. If you bring everything but the kitchen sink, you might want to look for something with more support.

That said, we did get 2 of the suitcases and I love it!
