Rethinking our DHS day meals

With the new DHS parking lot I'm thinking what I had planned might not work. We're at DHS on 8/19 for EMH. I had planned on Brunch at Bon Voyage at noon followed by a break (we're staying at Coronado Springs) 'til dinner at Cape May at 5:10 and back to DHS for our Slinky Dog FP (unless we get on during EMH and decide not to return). I'm not sure if that's feasible or not. Any opinions one way or the other? If it matters we're stroller-less boys are 7 & 17 plus 2 adults.

Enlighten me... why wouldn't this work? Is it because the new path from DHS to the Epcot area resorts isn't open yet and the Friendship Boats are still closed? Genuinely asking, because normally I'd say this sounds like a fine plan.

I read it’ll add ten minutes of travel time if walking. Most people projected it’ll be an additional 3-5 minutes, not 10.

We’ve stayed at BC and never walked to DHS. We did the boat since i prefer to save my steps for the parks. I have the same plan when we stay at BWV next trip.

I think you’ll be fine with your plan.

It's feasible, but I wouldn't walk to BWI in the August afternoon heat and I wouldn't rely on Disney transportation for the resort-to-resort portions of this trip. It will take you FOREVER. Boat or uber/lyft to BWI from DHS. Uber/lyft/Minnie Van (uber/lyft will be cheaper) for BWI-CSR-BC, boat back to DHS.

I thought the boats were running again? Is that not the case?

This is exactly why I was reconsidering it, combined with reports of longer walk times due to parking lot construction and I wasn't sure about the boats. While I'd love to see the characters at Bon Voyage (the boys don't care and I'm not a character fanatic, I'd just like to see different characters) and ods loves the idea of all you can eat seafood, I'm not sure either restaurant is worth the trip, but if not there then were to eat? Not a fan of any of the DHS restaurants. Hmmmmm. When I originally made the ADRs we were driving but now we're flying and won't have a car.

I don't know, that's why I'm asking! LOL! I thought perhaps they were still closed, which is why the OP was re-thinking their plan. But if the boats are in fact open, I think the OP's plan would work fine.

I personally think it’s a lot to do but if you’re set on it then go for it.

You would have to leave the park by 11:30 if walking. A little earlier for a boat. Then that meal will be done around 1-1:30. Uber back to your hotel and you’ll arrive by 2. Then to turn around and leave by 4:00ish for the 5 pm ADR.

I would eat in DHS and go straight to our resort then head out to BC for dinner. If i didn’t have the BC dinner planned i would do VN at Epcot for lunch or dinner.

I always take the boat and enjoy it. We were there in August and i wasn’t doing any additional unnecessary walking.

What is the best app to get here? Is the Fried Garlic and Herb and Cheese just mozzarella sticks?
The boats are running. Have been for weeks.
OP I would not do Brunch followed by 5:10 AYCTE Dinnerbuffet. Too much food too close together

Good catch. I agree. Even though at home we eat lunch around 12 and dinner around 5, at Disney World, the portions are so large that we tend to eat dinner more like 7pm. Time goes much faster in WDW!

What are you planning to do between the meals? If you are planning to go back to your hotel it does not seem like you will have much time to relax.

If you are going to hang out at the Boardwalk area it might be okay. However I agree the it could be too much food with meals so close together.

I would probably drop Cape May Cafe to give you more flexibility in the evening.
