Rethinking my dress...

I fell in love with my wedding gown, after trying on so many. I was thrilled with it. Actually, I still am thrilled with it. But after looking at the post of everyone's gowns, I realized I really wasn't thinking about getting married in FLORIDA in JUNE.

My gown has long, although sheer, sleeves. It has a sweetheart neckline and lots and lots of beading and sequines on the bodice. It also has a cathedral train.

I think it weighs about 40 pounds.

Although our wedding is at 9:00am, I am now wondering if it's going to be way too hot in my gown.

Any advice?

Will you be spending a large amount of time outdoors on your wedding day? If your ceremony and reception are both outdoors, you may get warm. I don’t think it would be too bad at 9 am, but by 11 am I think it would be quite warm. Does the fabric breath at all? I don’t think the sheer sleeves would be too hot necessarily.

From your description, it should be fine for a short while. If you were going to have an outdoor reception, I would find a way of shortening it after the ceremony. (and don't foorget the ant-persperant!

Actually....we aren't having a reception.

It's just the two of us. We should be done by 11. Then off with the wedding gown and on with the Disney fun! So...I guess I'll be OK.

But if you see headlines.....Disney Bride Faints From The Heat....You'll know it was me.
