Hi there,

I'm heading to the World in a few weeks and planned on taking 27 north (from Bradenton 64 East) to 192 into the world. But I've head some stories that it can be a crawl. So I was thinking of hoping on I-4 at 27 and and taking it a short distance to my exit for the Dolphin. Does anyone know what exit number that is? And is their construction going on from 27 to my exit?

Also how is security in the resort parking lots? Anyone ever park there truck with a 5r hitch?

Security is fine--my BIL left his $250K motor home (McMansion on wheels!) in the BW parking lot for a week, and the only thing near it all week was the guy with the Ferrari who was parked a few spaces down

As far as your route, six of one, half a dozen of the other. I'm pretty sure it's exit 68 (if not then it's 67) you need off I-4. That stretch of I-4 can be brutal. There's construction on SR27 coming up through Polk County right now (north of I-4), I wasn't delayed by it this past weekend driving through there, but they weren't actually working. The speed limit was greatly reduced though from I-4 to 192. There seems to be construction going on from one end of I-4 to the other right now :( If you do decide to stay on SR 27 to 192, rather than go all teh way to the Main Gate entrance, turn left onto Sherbeth (just after the lightpoles change to purple) and you'll come out near the AKL

I would definitely take I-4 - shorter distance and will still move better than 192.
Exit at World Drive (exit 62) then straight north into WDW.

Coming up I-4 from the south take the Disney World exit.

From 192 either way take the Disney World exit.

"Why STOP here when I can GO there?"
(From 27 via 192, if 192 backs up before the Disney World exit you can go left at the light onto Black Lake, then bear right, go to end and that is Sherbeth. If you miss Black Lake, you can go left onto Sherbeth which is where you see the Shoney sign on the right. End of Sherbeth is Osceola that takes you to a left exit onto World Drive, follow the Magic Kingdom signs at first but get off at Buena Vista.)
