Restaurants you miss

We miss the ESPN Club, also. That was the one dining experience we did each trip for hubby........no princesses, no characters, just TVs and sports everywhere.

I wish we could go back to pre-2000 food quality and more extensive menus. I'm looking at you, Rose & Crown, on the menu!

By far I miss the original Artist Point. Would love the signature dinner service to resume. Concourse Steakhouse was another favorite.
I was reading all the replies and thinking the exact same thing!

Back before the dining plans ALL the food was well made and reliably delicious. Back then each theme restaurant delivered a wonderful fresh tasting menu that would transport us to another place so dining at WDW seemed like traveling all over the US and internationally. It seemed like most spots had a regional dining theme and so why go somewhere else. While it was never "high end" all the food at our favorite resort, Port Orleans, was yummy southern comfort food. I think our favorite breakfast pancakes, eggs and bacon were better, our favorite dinner was Chicken Fried Steak and we could sample fresh tasting options like Gumbo without leaving property. We would hop from resort to resort just to sample food from far away places, I miss the high quality food.

California Grill at the Contemporary and seeing the fireworks from the outside balcony with the music piped in
