Restaurants with worst and best 'wait' times (w/ADRs)?

The only wait that sticks out in my mind was the Coral Reef - about an hour at least - and it was very hot that evening....

Sept 08 waited about 30 min for Coral Reef for dinner (and not worth it- the place is louder than a truck stop during free dining!)

Sept 09 waited over 30 min for WCC (also not worth it), maybe 20 for Chefs de France (so so) and the topper- over 1 1/2 hours for Le Cellier. Again, the CM's blamed overbooking as a daily problem.

We had little to no wait at Chef Mickeys or Ohana despite common complaints there.

waited 45-50 minutes at O'hana for 9 pm dinner. It wasn't that busy inside and missed all the entertainment. Will not go again. Have also waited awhile at CP but we were early. Shortest waits were twice at Garden Grill-went right in. Reasonable waits at other places.

I Ohana and it's Mr. FFerret's favorite place at Disney. But every time we go (and even the Breakfast) the wait was terrible. Really, really bad.

We just hang on to our beeper and take in the lovely resort lobby.

Our worst wait was 50s PTC during free dining 2008. Our ADR was for 5:30 and we waited for over 1.5 hours for a table for 6. There was no sitting room in the waiting area because they were just so backed up.

That same trip we had to wait around 45 minutes at H&V for a table for 6 around the same time of day. We watched plenty of parties seated ahead of us and we were waiting outside in the sweltering August heat.

Other than that, the rest of our waits have been under 15 minutes with the majority between 5 and 10 minutes.

During our June 3-10 trip this year, we did not wait more than 5-10 minutes for any of our ADRs. I don't know if it was our reservation times or if this is normal (first time at Disney), but we were very pleasantly surprised by getting right in at all of them. Some even took us ahead of our ADR time.

We ate at WCC (dinner), Crystal Palace (dinner), Hollywood & Vine (lunch), Tusker House (breakfast), Garden Grille (dinner) and Les Chefs de France (dinner).

In my experience the best times have been at 50's Prime Time Cafe, Fulton's Crab House, Chef Mickey's and The Plaza.

The worst times have been at Boma and Ohana.

Just got back this week and by far the longest waits were at Sci-Fi and 50's Prime Time.

We were a party of 6
Sci-Fi: 11:30am ADR, waited 40 minutes. Not sure what the problem was but it was us and 2 other families that were in the waiting area who didn't get seated until that long. It seemed they overbooked since they only opened at 11am.

50's Prime Time: 6:05pm ADR, waited 45 minutes. Wait area was beyond packed and was told when checking in they were running at least 30 minutes behind ADR's.

All other meals we were seated just after checking in for our ADR.

There are 4 on your list that seem to always have a wait (not always though) the times your eating seem to be their busy times. You never know, sometimes we've been taken right away, lots of times we've waited over 30 minutes, it all depends on the people before you and how long they stay.

Our worst wait an ADR was at Liberty Tree Tavern. We had a 6:30 ADR and didn't get seated until almost 7:30...and the service was lousy.

We waited 45 - 50 minutes at Chef Mickey's once. They apologized and seated us when I went up to the podium and asked what was taking so long. That was in 2006.

Never really had a problem anywhere else. 'Ohana we had a 5:15 ADR and there was some lag time because they opened at 5:00 and there was a big line just to check in.

Wow... great thread i wouldn't have thought this would be an issue but how obvious now that i've read this...

we are traveling the last week of september and it is free dining - from what i understand it's a fairly slow time but has anyone had extreme waiting times during that date period in the past... of course we are doing

There are only three restaurants we have ever waited over ten minutes for.


Coral Reef: 15 minutes and well worth the wait. Very good food, and placed right next to the tank

Boma: 25 minutes and again worth the wait. For a buffet very good food, excellent service.

Le'Cellier: 45 minutes and not worth the wait. Good food but over-rated. Arrogant staff, average service, and placed right next to the restroom and told by the manager we either sit there or we could leave.... Wow!!

Our worst wait time had to have been Coral Reef, and 50's PT. That was just one time though, but we usually go during free dining...

Would you believe we waited 50 minutes at Trail's End with an ADR last October - it was Columbus Day weekend, but come on. We stayed only because we had the Haunted Carriage Ride after our dinner, otherwise we would not have waited. Then when we told the waitress we were a bit short on time, she was rather gruff and only came back once for drink refills, and said something like "I thought you were in a hurry..." So, not too impressed, even though people tend to like this one as it is reasonably priced. (Yes, I think there was some free dining going on, but we didn't have it.)

Biergarten about a 30 minute wait for 6:30 dinner
Coral Reef we haven't tried
Le Cellier about a 30 - 45 minute wait, but it was for the CandleLight Processional
Rose & Crown we haven't tried
Cape May Clam Bake we had an ADR for 5:45 and we were seated right away
Crystal Palace, we've eaten here several times and each time we've waited anywhere from 15 minutes to 45 minutes, for breakfast, we were seated within 15 minutes.
Tony's Town Square, we waited 15 minutes
Sci-Fi Lunch 15 minutes
Ohana, we always have to wait, sometimes 15 minutes, sometimes more
Cape May Breakfast, we've never eaten there
Tusker House 20 minute wait for breakfast
Askershus breakfast 20 minutes.
