Restaurants open late?

We're dashing in for a quick 2 day trip 12/12-13, staying at the Hyatt Regency Orange County. On Saturday, the park closes at midnight, and we'd really like stay till the end. My problem is, I can't seem to find any restaurants in the area that are open past 11pm? I know the Disney area is family friendly, but when the park is open late, I'm shocked to see the businesses in the area do not make themselves available for the business.

Does anyone know of restaurants (not McDonalds/Dennys) that will be open until 1 or 2 in the morning? There's no kiddies on this trip, so someplace with a bar wouldn't be a negative.

I think you are running into problems because you are looking for dinner post-midnight, a rare request. You could get dinner in the Park.

There are certainly the Denny's, Coco's, Mimi's type places that are open late, along with fast food, but finding actual sit down dinner post-midnight couldd be tough.

The place that pops into my mindd is Fridays. I don't know how late they actually serve dinner, but the have a bar in their locations so you could get an appetizer platter. They might even serve dinner until the bar closes. Their website (as fancy as it is) does not seem to list hours. You could call to find out.

Also, maybe your hotel has a restaurant open late? Again, however, I don't think the demand for midnight dinner probably warrants them keeping much more than a coffee shop open.

I just wanted to add that I noticed there were others in Oct, who were wandering around looking to see if anything in Downtown Disney was opened to get a bite during the later hours that the park was open. When I went back to my room at the DLH right before the flood from the fireworks were letting out they still had things open at 9pm. I noticed anything pretty much after 10 were closed, or closing. I know the coffee house at DLH is closed around 8, or 9. I know it was pretty early for it to be closed it seemed. Goofy's kitchen closes at 9pm, but when I went solo in Oct I spent a good while talking to a wonderfull couple with their 2 from Australia, but at 9pm they were trying to collect things, and shut down. I know The Grand Cali has all night Room service, DLH room service during the week closes at 11, and weekends at 1am I believe. I am not sure on Paradise Pier as I have never stayed there. I did use DLH room service at least 2 times during my trip in Oct. I just didn't feel like walking into downtown disney, or the parks to get a bite, and was relaxing for an early day usually the next day. Thei 7 onion soup at DLH, and the chicken quasadilla, also the Chicken Tenders are great. I also would order 2 mickey Krispie treats, and a 20oz pot of Hot Chocolate which comes with Handmade whipped cream OMG SOOO GOOD before bed as a treat. You are right though unless you wanna travel outside there are Denny's, IHOP, and such, but as far as disney the latest I have seen them open is 11pm during the weekends.

House of Blues in Downtown Disney stays open until 1:30 am with a happy hour menu, but its dining menu stops at 10. You could check into that.

Eat at the park.
There's the Blue Bayou, Cafe Orleans, Plaza Inn, etc. Disneyland is more than just rides. It's a beautiful, unique place to be with wonderful views to savor while you sit and eat. Don't overlook one-of-a-kind park eateries by saving your appetite for generic "anywhere-America" chain-restaurant meals.

Check Anaheim Garden Walk restaurants as well. We never eat that late, if/when we stay until midnight we eat in the parks. If you do end up at a Denny's or IHOP, go with Denny's over IHOP, the Denny's is priced more normal, the IHOP practices price gouging. Seriously.......oh and even if it's open late do NOT eat at Captain Kidd's....OMG, you will be sick.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Unfortunately the GardenWalk shuts down pretty early too. Last year we found that out the hard way.. after an attempt to cut through the Paradise Pier Parking lot had us hit a fence.. literally, and made us walk the perimiter to get back out.. was a VERY long walk. We walked into Cheesecake Factory *just* as they closed at 11pm. Was very saddening.

I'm a picky eater, so Blue Bayou is out of the question, and with the demise of the cookie boat, we've missed our reason to eat there for "just dessert"

The House of Blues is a wonderful suggestion and provided we don't poop out early will be great for a snack and a drink! I hadn't thought to check there. Thank you very much!!! You guys rock!!
