Restaurants open late at night? Disney Springs vs. Boardwalk

Will be flying into Orlando at 8:45 PM on a Friday- I expect that by the time we check into our Disney hotel at POFQ and get comfortable, it'll be around 10. I know Disney Springs is open until midnight, and the Boardwalk until 2 am. Which area would be better to go to for food and a night time walk? Although it says Disney Springs is open until midnight, I assume a majority of the restaurants will be closed long before then?

I feel like when I've come in late at night, we just got in room delivery, Or grab something at the airport.

It looks like the lounge might have food, but I'm not sure when the kitchen closes.

You’ll want to go on the website and look at the individual hours for each restaurant. That will give you a good indication of how late things are open.

Are you taking DME? If you land at 8:45, I would expect to arrive at POFQ around 10:15-10:30. I would also suggest getting your luggage before boarding DME, or else you'll have a late delivery.

With that in mind, I would plan to eat at POFQ. The food court is open until midnight, I believe. If you want to go for a walk, walk the path over to Riverside. Their food court has a larger selection and I believe is also open until midnight.

But between the two in the original post, Disney Springs will have much more to choose from and a variety of both QS and TS options. I would recommend taking an Uber from POFQ to save time, and then taking the boat back. It's a solid 25 minute ride on the boat, and it drops you off at the furthest point on the Marketplace side.

We flew in late in our last trip I believe we got to Saratoga around 9 or 9:30 in which we had hoped to eat at Turf Club (It was closed so whatever time that would have been) We decided to take the boat over to DS and check to see if we could get in somewhere. We ended up at Homecoming and they were able to sit us right away. It was so good. The chicken was the best. We even decided to go back at the end of our trip when our DxDDP was in effect and loved the apps and dessert on that trip. I highly recommend going.

We will likely uber from the airport as I heard DME can take a while. Oh good point about walking over to Riverside, I never considered that as an option. I was only thinking Disney Springs/boardwalk so there's more food options...but if Riverside has a good variety, might do that instead!

I'm not one to complain, but I went to the Boardwalk on my last trip for dinner and I was so unimpressed! I ended up getting a kids' turkey meal from the bakery and it was the worst meal of my entire trip. Whatever you do, I wouldn't go there!

We stay at Boardwalk Inn frequently. The only thing open until 2 am is the piano bar, Jellyrolls, and they don't serve food other than popcorn. You can get a pizza at the window until midnight, but other than that you'll find it a challenge to find dinner after 10:00 pm on the Boardwalk.

If it were me, I wouldn't do an ADR for TS just in case you're flight is delayed or you decide you're too travel weary to venture far from your hotel. That said, if you want to go away from the hotel to dine, I'd opt for DS.
  • Try and do a walk up for TS. Later in the day like that you could have some success.
  • Opt for QS instead - there are several good options there now.
  • If you feel like staying closer to 'home' you could also try and do walk up at Boatrights at POR. It's a shortish walk and we enjoyed our dinner there. ( I think they close at 11p so be sure to check the times if you are closer to 10p before you walk over ).
  • The QS at POFQ should also be open until 11p so that's always an option.

The Edison at Disney Springs is listed as open until 1am some nights and 2am other nights I see a separate “late night menu” on the all ears menu (it’s in the dinner menu way down at the end)
We are going there our first night because my college program daughter has an off between 8 and 9pm shift the day we arrive and it was the latest hours we found.

I believe Morimoto's offers the same.
