I didn't really know where to post this, so I hope this is okay. :o We are going to be at WDW over Christmas. I thought it would be fun to play the Winter side of the mini-golf course. I'm not sure where the course is, and I'm looking for the closest resort to have lunch. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! :)

The closest resort would be Coronado Springs. Do you have a car? If so you arent far from AK which has the Rainforest cafe. You dont have to use an admission to get in.

Yes, we will have a car. I was wondering what we would be close to, because I was thinking of ordering vouchers for lunch. It sounds like RFC would be the perfect choice. About how far is it? Thanks for the help. I can't believe we've been to WDW so many times, and still don't know where alot of things are. We even stayed at Coronado Springs once. Thank goodness for the DIS. :)

Best use of vouchers close to Winter/Summerland Golf (which is located next to Blizzard Beach) would be:

1) Quick & Casual vouchers at Pepper Market in Coronado Springs, which is practically across the street from Winter/Summerland. If you stayed at Coronado Springs you may or may not remember Pepper Market. It is a different kind of food court concept where you get your own food and then have limited table service. The food is very good and they have everything from sandwiches to burgers, Mexican, Chinese, etc. You can also order a good ribeye steak or fresh grilled fish, and they often have specials like prime rib. Very good use of Quick & Casual vouchers that can save you quite a bit on some good food.

2) Vacation Kingdom Lunch vouchers at Rainforest Cafe at the AK. The AK is a couple of miles down the road but very easy to get to. You'd have to park in the main lot and then you can enter the restaurant without theme park admission. If you aren't staying at a WDW resort, or don't have an annual pass, you would have to pay for parking. The Vacation Kingdom Lunch vouchers will cost you quite a bit more than the Quick & Casual vouchers, but you'll get a very nice meal. We always get the $39.99 steak and lobster. Along with the appetizer, dessert and drink it is a great value for a voucher that costs about $30. Note that you CAN use these lunch vouchers ANYTIME of day, and not just during lunch hours until 4:00. RFC doesn't have different lunch and dinner menus so they allow these vouchers to be used anytime. The servers usually guide you to the best use of the vouchers and make sure you know what you can get. You order steak and lobster and they get a bigger tip out of the voucher ;). Ton of food in a really cool atmosphere. The food isn't knock your socks off great, but it is good and the place is fun.
