Which restaurants with character meals are within walking distance of Boardwalk Villas?

None unless you are willing to go into either Epcot (Garden Grill or Akershus) or Hollywood Studios (Hollywood and Vine).

ETA: You can also get to Topolino's (Riviera) for breakfast via the skyliner, which you can walk to.

I believe Cape May Cafe at Beach Club has characters, at breakfast at least.

But I agree with including Topolino’s - short walk to Skyliner, fun ride to Riviera, another walk to Topolino’s!

You are correct, I forgot about Cape May Cafe (because we've never eaten there).

ETA: I forgot we did eat there, but it was shortly after it re-opened and was family style and no characters at that point. It was obviously not memorable at that point in time.....

I agree with others. Outside of the parks only Cape May (Minnie Beach Bash) at Beach Club right now, about 5 minute walk from Boardwalk. Trattoria al Forno (at Boardwalk) has reopened, but is still not doing character breakfasts yet. Epcot is a 5-10 minute walk, with Garden Grill (Chip n Dale) and Akershus (Princess), although if I remember right, only for dinner right now, and Hollywood Studios takes about 10-15 minutes, with Hollywood & Vine (Disney Junior).
