We will be staying at Ron Jon's before our cruise next month. Any good restaurants around the area? We're renting a van, so transportation is not a problem. Thanks so much. :sunny:

Grill's seafood is on the channel the Disney ships use to get out to sea. They have a website at www.visitgrills.com

We enjoyed the food and the live bands. Our kids liked watching boats come in with their catches.

If time your visit right, you might be able to watch a Disney or other cruise ship pass as it leaves port.

I second Grill's. There is also a Durango's steakhouse in Cocoa Beach on A1A. If you cross the causeway over to Merritt Island there are plenty of restaurants - Outback, Carrabbas, Chili's, Tony Romas, etc.

We ate at Ron Jons while waiting for our rooms, and I had an awesome mahi-mahi sandwich. For dinner I forget where we went, because Grills last year was so much better (we had 11 people this year and Grills looked too crowded). If you go to Grills there is a coupon on their website. Check out Dave's site (dcltribute.com) for more info on stuff around the port.

We ate at Rusty's Seafood as Grill's was way too crowded and loud! Rusty's food was delicious! We plan to eat there next trip!

Definately grills...we eat there for dinner the day before and breakfast the next morning before the ship sails.

The food is wonderful.

It is a smaller place though..so if you are having dinner during a peak hour..be prepared to wait a bit for a table. We try to eat a bit early.
