My wife and I will be spending our 10th wedding anniversary together (w/o kids!!) at Hilton Head. I would like to know if there are any good, romantic restaurants that we can go to on our anniversary. Are there any places with live music (eg. piano, violin player)? Ultimately, it would be fantastic if the live musician could play "our song" if I were to provide the sheet music. That may be asking too much though. Does anyone have any suggestions? Hilton Head or Savannah, Ga. Thanks.

I'm not sure about that specific situation but there are a ton of great restaurants for the area. Sunset Grill, CQ's, Charlie's, Aqua, Old Fort Pub, Alexander's, Studio (art Studio and restaurant), Alligator Grill all come to mind as great choices for the event. I'd call one of the Concierge's (or maybe several of them) at hotels/timeshares in the area and possibly ask the question on TUG as well where you'll get a larger volume of expertise than here.

Red Fish! Everything was great--my dd says get the crabcakes. Their wine list was extensive. Desserts were fantastic. It was a wonderful dinner. Very upscale but still casual.
Then go for Pinot Gelato!

My vote is for Old Fort Pub-it has been years since I visited there (actually on our honeymoon), but hubby and I agree that it was by far our most romantic dining spot. We had a beautiful sunset and golden shimmery water scenes with dancing dolphins. Gorgeous and the food was wonderful as well.

Another vote for the Old Fort Pub; try to be there around sunset and either sit outside or on the main floor. Charley's Crab which also overlooks the water and is near Old Fort would be another good choice.

The Jazz Corner gets my vote too.
Live music every night but not easy to hold a conversation.
They will play your song if they know it. Just ask for Martin.

Thanks for all your suggestions. To be honest, judging by name alone I probably would not have given Old Fort Pub a second look. You've been very helpful.

The one restaurant that is usually at the top of many HHI regulars A listis the Sunset Grill I mentioned above. With one exception very recently, they have never even advertised in spite of the fact they are off the beaten path and at the back of an RV park. I've had them scheduled for my anniversary dinner twice but had to cancel both times due to other factors.

Ditto - Sunset Grill
You would never expect this place to be so good in this location.
Great view.
Cozy.
Good food.
