Hi,
Last year we stayed just off I Drive so mainly had breakfast and dinner in one of the restaurants there. (Sizzlers, Golden Corral usually!!).
We would like to stay onsite this year (CBR) and were wondering how close eating and shopping places were, other than Disney.
We've had the 192 suggested, but did not use this road last time so are unsure of its proximity to Disney or what's on it.

Can anyone help?

Lynn

I'd like to add my own but similar question to this, we are staying onsite at Pop Century without a car and wondered how easy it was to go off site by bus?

I would really like to visit just once a Wallmart :rotfl2:

You could get the Disney Transport to Downtown Disney and then walk over to the Crossroads. There are some nice places to eat there with shops and adventure golf too.

Crossroads and the area around it on SR535 would be your best bet. Lots of good restaurants here like Chilis, Sizzler, TGI Fridays, IHOP, Pebbles, Jungle Jims, Olive Garden, Perkins, Shoneys, and a bit further at Vineland Avenue Golden Corral and Bahama Breeze.
Easy to get to all of these from WDW in a few minutes if you have a car, but its a fair walk from DTD especially in the Florida sun and there's a major highway to cross.

a good idea is to take the bus to the market place at Downtown disney take a lesurly walk to the crossroads have a meal go to a suppermarket stock up on food and beer and take a taxi back to your room the money you save will more than pay for the taxi
