Can anyone tell me which characters are at this meal and if it was any good?

When we went it was Donald, Mickey, Pluto, Goofy and Minnie. We have also been there with Chip and Dale instead of Minnie.

We actually are ok with this one. It is standard breakfast Disney buffet fare- the breakfast pizza, scrambled some potatoes, usually a quiche of some kind, french toast,(I think there were mickey waffles too) Plus a whole Fruit and pastries kind of bar- Krispie Kream were there when we went.

It does always take longer though than you think it should so be sure to give yourself enough time if you are doing it. I am not sure if the characters have changed since the Tusker House Buffet opened though.

We have done all the charachter breakfasts at WDW over the past 5 or 6 years. Mostly, because we like to get into the parks early, eat breakfast and be ready to go for the rope drop. Our last visit we did this for our visit to AK and ate at Breakfastasaurs. All I can say is YUCK! It generally is hard to ruin breakfast, but they managed to do it here. The food was just terrible. The room was dark and depressing and we were seated in a corner where we could'nt see the charachters at all. Plus, we had to wait SO long to be seated that we never really reaped the benefit of being in the park early. By the time we finished (and believe me we didn't linger) and paid our bill the gates had already opened and the throngs of people were coming in.

Definitely not what we are used to for early park breakfasts. Nothing beats the Crystal Palace!

Wow, are these reviews since the change to Tusker house or before? I have it booked for BF but now i am wondering if it is worth it?

When I called to make a breakfast ADR there they told me the characters aren't even there anymore - they are now at TH.

There are many threads on this very subject. Just read a review a few posts above, that you many want to check out regarding the new breakfast. The replies in this thread are speaking of the old breakfast - the new breakfast has been ongoing now for approx. 2 months.

The old Donald's breakfast has now been moved to Tusker House restaurant. This is the only character meal at AK and it's breakfast only, just like before, but in a different location. Some of the food has been changed (thank goodness as old breakfast wasn't very good), there is much better character interaction and restaurant is better laid out. It seems this new breakfast is much improved over the old one - we will be finding out for ourselves in May.

Tusker House is now a buffet (1 TS for DP) for lunch and dinner with no characters.

In regards to the old restaurant, it is still a McDonald's, with no characters, like it was before - they just hosted Donald's breakfast buffet, while the rest of the day it is a plain McDonald's restaurant. Could be why Donald's old breakfast was so bad!!

So, if you want Donald's character breakfast, then you need to make an ADR for Tusker House buffet breakfast, and if you want McDonald's fries and hamburgers, then you will go to the old Restaurantsaurus.

As someone else said, it is now Donald's Safari at Tusker House. We were there a week ago and loved it.

The food is very good and we saw the characters multiple times. It was Mickey, Goofy, Donald and Daisy.
