I'm back on the fence about getting the dining plan. Let's say, hypothetically, that I decide to get it. I would love to hear your suggestions for our restaurants.

We're going in August of next year for 6 nights. My husband and I are happy eating anywhere (and besides, this vacation is all about the kids)

My son (10) will eat most things, but LOVES steaks and ribs.
My daughter (8) survives mostly on Chicken Nuggets, pizza, and Fruit Loops
My daughter (5) is a cross between the two, and loves mac and cheese.

I'm figuring on one dinner at the Coral Reef, one character breakfast at Chef Mickey's, and possibly a princess breakfast.

What would you suggest?

Here are my suggestions:

MK: Crystal Palace (character buffet, 1 TS credit)
MK: Pecos Bill (1 CS credit)

Epcot: Le Cellier (great steaks, 1 TS credit, try and catch Illuminations)
Epcot: Sunshine Seasons (big variety, 1 CS credit)

MGM: 50s Prime Time (fun interaction, 1 TS credit)
MGM: Hollywood & Vine (Jo Jo & Little Einsteins character dining, 1 TS credit)

AK: Flame Tree BBQ or Pizzafari (1 CS credit)

Hoop Dee Do Revue (very funny, 2 TS credits)

What resort are you staying at? They may have some other great choices. Also, check out allears.net to look at the different menus.

The above poster gave a lot of the same suggestions that I would have given. My DS loves steak & ribs too, & he loved WCC at the WL. 'Ohana is a big favorite of my family too. We also tried ESPN, & we all really enjoyed our food.

We're staying at the Contemporary.

There are just so many choices out there that I don't really know where to start:sick: And I'm still pondering whether or not to get the meal plan, although today I'm thinking yes.

Thanks to anyone who has (or wants to) weigh in.

We ALWAYS do the DDP b/c it just works and makes everything simpler for us. We love it!!!

Since you're staying at the Contemporary, you should definitely try Chef Mickey's. Over at Poly, we liked Kona; and at GF, 1900 Park Fare was great b/c our DD loved seeing Cinderella. That restaurant is closed right now, but I think they're doing that character dining at another restaurant at the GF.
