Just back from a great trip....We ate at Cape May Clam bake, PSB,Le Cellier,Marrakesh, and Les Chefs de France for TS. CS was mostly Cosmic Rays, Pecos bills, and the ABC Commissary ( BLECH).
Cape May- This was by far our favoritemeal of the trip. The food was fresh and tasty, absolutely no complaints.Saw people try walk-ups..did not happen
Le Cellier- Good food, tight tables.Honestly, I have eaten here before and it is good, but way overrrated.Saw several people try walkups...did not happen.
PSB - good Breakfast, great interaction with the princesses.Saw walkups...did not happen.
Marrakesh - This was our second fav of the trip,The food delish, and the belly dancer awesome.Did see walk-ups...did see walkups get seated.
Les Chefs- Another good place, good food and service.Saw walk-ups...did not happen. The Cs places - COsmic rays-the best, with the freshest foods and selection for kids.Pecos Bills-Ok. ABC Commissary...I knew this place was awful b/c we had eaten here before. We tried it again, because we were starving an Pizza planet and the Backlot were not open till 1130 and 1145.( it was 1100)My Dh found long black hairs in his food...BARF. Other than that everything was great, am going back as a bounceback next year.

Thanks so much for the reviews. I am going to be eating at ,Marrakesh and Chef de France so to hear you had a good experience gets me even more excited about trying these two places for the very firt time. what did you get to eat at them both? :)

At marrakesh we had the Nights in Casablanca( which was included on the basic dp but had a surcharge)and Baklava for dessert all very good, and worth it. At Les Chefs, I had the Macaroni and cheese( tasty and creamy, very unlike our Mac n cheese).Dh had the Duck, both entrees delish and I had the profiteroles and Dh had Crme Brulee. Both very tasty.

I'm glad you had a great trip and great meals! We were there 9/20-9/25 and Marrakesh was our worst meal! The atmosphere is great, the kids really enjoyed the music and the belly dancer, but the service was horrible. Our drinks were empty most of the meal and one of the children ordered the pasta plain, without the sauce and the meatballs but with just butter. The waiter said this was fine, but when the pasta came, it had no butter on it. The waiter practically threw the food at us and was gone again, so by the time we saw there was no butter, he was long gone. After about 8 minutes we flagged down the CM who was refilling the water glasses (who did a great job, those glasses were never more than 1/3 empty) and asked him to find our waiter because we needed butter, but he brought it himself. Of course by now the pasta is cool enough that the butter won't melt, but DD's friend was so hungry, she didn't want to wait for another plate so she ate it.

My meal was not bad, I had the beef couscous with vegetables. It was good, it just didn't taste like anything special or exotic in any way. It basically tasted like pot roast over cream of wheat. Very tender, but just not what I would expect at a Morrocan restaurant. I have never eaten at Marrakesh before, but I have eaten at the counter service restaurant several years ago and the food was much more flavorful. I wonder if I just hit a bad night or if the quality of food has gone downhill.

The funny thing, when the check came the waiter who had been inattentive the entire meal (in addition to the pasta problem and empty drinks we sat finished our meal for 20 minutes before he came back to ask about dessert) suddenly was right there asking if I had any questions when he saw me looking over the bill. Disney conveniently suggests the amounts for an 18% and 20% tip, but this guy was not worth even 18%. I was calculating a 15% tip and he was right there. Figures when he could see it was his tip, there he is. I actually ended up tipping a little less than 15%, something I almost never do.

Oh..that sounds awful. Our waiter was very attentive. Our worst server was Cape May, but it was the best meal. She disappeared the whole meal ,yet She hovered while I figured out the tip. She also was the only one the whole trip to mention that tips were no longer included and if Iwas charging my tip she needed to know immediately what it was going to be,I told her cash...then left 15% .Most times I left 18 or 20, but 1) it was a buffet and 2) she ticked me off.-Food was awesome though.

I'm glad you had a better server experience at Marrakesh than we did!

At Chef Mickey's, I only left a 15% tip as I didn't feel the server really did that great of a job and it is a buffet. At 1900 Park Fair, I did leave 18% because although it's a buffet, the server was extremely attentive, keeping drinks refilled and asking if we needed anything. The server even escorted my DD up to the buffet to show her something she saw on her friend's plate that the server overheard her say she didn't see up there. Normally I do think that 18% for buffets is a lot, but that server earned it.
