Restaurant reviews and recipes...formerly Disney QOTD

I like Pecos Bills--but I've never eaten a burger there. They used to have this really good salad--cold chicken atop slaw with a lime vinargette. It was a nice change from all the chicken strips, burgers, etc. that you get from the CS places. But the last time I was at WDW that salad wasn't on the menu. Darn.

We have eaten there several times......only a burger once  not the best.
But the salads are okay and the topping bar means you can refill them :rotfl: DH likes that part. Not our favorite place, but it is in a good location sometimes.

We ate at Pecos Bill's the last trip to WDW. We won't be going back anytime soon. The food just wasn't good, and there are so many more places to try!

Well, we usually avoid Pecos Bill's. And WDW hamburgers I avoid too...
But 2 - 3 moths ago we ate counter service at PB because DH wanted to try their fried chicken dinner (w/mashed taters). We were on the quick service dine plan.
I don't even recall what I had, if it was the same or not. :confused3
And that choice may have been temporary. It was not even on their regular menu. That choice was on a small sign or sticker somewhere near the order area.
It was okay. Better than their usual choices, that's for sure.

Oh -- I we walked World Showcase this afternoon. Just the typical blocked off wall for the counter service area in Mexico. Nothing to see yet.

Chefs de France (lunch) sure was good. I even have half a quiche and salad in the frig. :woohoo:

We have only been to Bongo's once. Hated it. Bad service, yucky food.
We keep saying we will go back and give it a second chance......we'll see ;)

We use to eat at Bongo's (and enjoyed it) until they took away the AP discount. Since then, we have only occasionally eaten from their outdoor counter service. Which unless it has changed, has good food at good prices.
But alas, since there is no longer pleasure at PI ;) we don't even go to the Bongo's walk up. So really it has been at least a year and half since using the walk up food counter there.
