Happy Thanksgiving all.

Traditonal dinner here - 25 lb. turkey for 4 people. :teeth:

20 pound turkey here for 3.....and one doesn't eat it :rotfl:

Also chips, avocado dip, onion dip
Green salad, rolls
Turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, baked sweet potatoes, corn, snap peas, sausage apple stuffing
Chocolate cheesecake and pumpkin custard (basically pie with no crust ;) ).

Only dh and I eat stuffing so I buy Stove Top, I forgot to make it. :sad2:

LOL....DS's favorite is Stove Top, but he isn't here this year, so I made low carb stuffing....well good carb stuffing ;)

HAPPY TURKEY DAY!!* Hope everyone had a great day.

We had the traditional dinner, 21 lb turkey, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean cass., pineapple cass., ham, rolls. Pumpkin pie, apple pie, lemon cake. I cooked for 18 people with lots of left overs.

Something's off because I only get random postings emailed to me from DIS lately! :goodvibes I jumped to the end here and then I'm all out of the loop. I will think and get 5 questions to you, Nancy. And I won't post them. not me. not again.:rolleyes1

Thanksgiving was turkey, gravy, stuffing, sweet potato casserole, mashed pots, green beans, corn, rolls, cranberry sauce, broccoli casserole, cheesey potatoes and pies, pies, and more pies. We had people come over who brought dishes, so we did have quite a few potatoes to choose from! :goodvibes I finally have all my recipes as I want them--over the years I've found good ones by trial and error. Stuffing was the last one, but I made a keeper this year.

They need to make a candle scent that smells like the house on Thanksgiving.

LOL....Lynne, funny :rotfl:

There is a Thanksgiving candle....not sure how close it smells though.

QOTD will return tomorrow.....for a couple of weeks and then we will be out of questions again. Hopefully during that time, more will be added.

QOTD.....11-30

If you were at a Disney park on a major holiday, where would you choose to eat (you will be able to get an ADR anywhere ;))?

I'd pick Christmas Day and although this may seem odd....I'd pick the Biergarten.

It's always so festively decorated in there and my whole family loves the food there. Plus the entertainment is always top notch!!!

hmmmmmm...probably Le Cellier. My favorite. Now I want steak & pretzel bread!

I'm useless at coming up with questions. I was thinking all weekend, and I think we've already done every single one!

A few years ago we were at WDW for Christmas and New Year and we are going back again next Christmas and New Year. On Christmas eve we had dinner at the California Grill, we watched Wishes from the viewing dock there, then headed into the MK to watch the midnight spectromagic. On Christmas day my friend and I went to the spa at SSR whilst our husbands cooked a traditional English Christmas dinner (turkey, veg the whole works!!) back at the Beach Club Villas. Then in the evening we hung out around the pool and in the hot tub sipping champagne! I think we will do the same again next Christmas!!

I do think if it was Christmas or Thanksgiving, I would cook.....if we were in a place with a kitchen which is only when the kids go too.
Maybe Liberty Tree for dinner....they have the turkey dinner.
Hmmm.....now 'Ohanas sounds good too :rotfl:

I would probably pick LeCellier, I really enjoy their food, can't wait to take my DH on our next trip to WDW.
