Not as many pins here and pin trading doesn't seem to be as popular.

We are having issues with the TV in the room now
Started yesterday afternoon with it turning itself on......did that 3 times over about 4 hours and then the opposite. Started turning itself off every minute or two. Called down and supposedly they came to look at it while we were at dinner. They called about 9:30 PM to check. It seemed okay then......but turned itself on at 5:20 this morning  and then again at 6:15.

:scared1:

Nice pins, Nancy!

I had some excitement yesterday. got home last night & my dad mentioned I got a package from FedEx, and he had to sign for it. I couldn't imagine what it could be--nothing I've ordered would merit a signature. It was a small package. I noticed it was from the Apple Store, a place I had never been to. Saw the packing list, opened it up--it said "sold to" my sister. I figured Apple messed up & sent her package to me for some reason. But then I saw the note--"Happy Easter & Happy Early birthday from the Easter Bunny". So I figure it's some kind of gift from my sister. Open it--inside is an Ipod Nano! a 16GB orange Ipod nano! (they sell for $180! and she's already paid for my ticket to see Lion King on Broadway which was $100!) I'm so excited, I'm babbling. I call her--get her voice mail--leave this silly message. She calls me back, and says "what did I send you?" in this brisk voice. so I say, an Ipod Nano. She then says--shoot--they messed up! She didn't want her name on it, she wanted it to be a mystery. :rotfl: But now I am a proud owner of an Ipod! And isn't she the best sister ever?!!!

Oh wow, Missy! You certainly do have the best sister ever! Congratulations and happy early birthday!

I think Haunted Mansion ghosts really did follow you and are in your room. :rotfl:

Its about a 2 1/2 hour flight give or take to Orlando from the Allentown airport. And we finally have an airline that is offering a direct flight again.

Nancy nice pins and I think your room may have some ghost hanging around.

Missy what a sweet sister you have.

 Just typed this long thing with the pins I got today and tried to post it and it logged me off, so I lost it :(

I've been skipping through all the posts I've missed...

Missy--you do have a great sister! Your pic of your family is so nice.

Nancy--I've never been to DL. But sounds like a great time even if it's a bit cool. Glad to hear the villas are wonderful. I can't wait until the one in HI is finished!

Missy what a fun surprise, you and your sister must be really close, she sounds like a great sister.

I'm excited also, I just purchased tickets to Mary Poppins showing at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC this summer for my Birthday. Told my DH that's what I want for my Birthday and sure enough he told me to order the tickets, they came in the mail yesterday. I have to wait till August for the show, but it'll give me something to look forward to, since it's going to be a tough summer.

My two oldest sons decided to stay in their appartments and not come home this summer, I told them that's fine as long as they have jobs. My youngest, he's 18, just signed the papers to attend OCS (Officer Training School) with the Marines, if he gets accepted he'll be gone for 6 weeks this summer and 6 weeks the summer of his Junior year. He really wants to be a Marine, but also wants to finish his schooling so he can go in as an officer. I need to learn to accept his decision, since it's something he's wanted since 7th grade.

Gotta go, have a good day everyone!!

Jean, letting the kids grow up is often soooo hard.
I sure miss mine and will be so glad to move closer to them so I can see them more.
DD didn't come home the first 2 years of college....it was tough.
DS went to college his first 2 year across he country, so didn't see him much. So, I have a lot of time to catch up on....whether they like it or not ;)
That is great about the Mary Poppins tickets!!

DH brought his computer, so it is his problem. It keeps logging me off all the time.
I like bringing my own and will from now on, but we flew carry-on only this time so it didn't work. Next time we get to drive so I can bring all the stuff I want ! :rotfl:

The weather has improved. Still chilly in the mornings.
DH is sick, so sleeping a lot. I toured in the afternoon by myself. But I rode things he doesn't like anyway. Coasters ;) and ToT.

{{HUGS}} and Prayers, Jean! Your DS is obviously a remarkable, brave young man! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes God Bless him!

Nancy, love the pins you have bought. The TV turning itself on sounds a little spooky to me!!

Missy, you have a great sister, what a nice surprise.

Jean, your son sounds very brave. I hope you have fun at the show when the time comes.

Yesterday I went to visit my new niece and 2 year old nephew again. It was a lovely afternoon so we went to the beach and built sand castles (they live near the coast). We also discussed our plans for our family summer holiday together. Pete and I are going with his sister, our BIL and niece and nephew to the east coast of England for a week. We aren't going abroad this year as I am buying a new car instead (I am finally getting a 2 seater sports car, something I have wanted ever since I passed my test when I was 17!)

I too am a little excited today as I am spending some of the day researching next years summer holiday. We are going to Sydney, Australia and to a few other parts of Australia to visit relatives I have over there. My parents are going too and my SIL, BIL and kids are hoping to go as well (my BIL is Australian and all his family live over there) so we might get to do something in Sydney with them as well! In a wierd coincidence (and kind of like Its a Small World) my BIL grew up 30 minutes away from where one of my aunties lives in Australia. His parents have now moved and they now live a few towns away from my other auntie who we will also be visiting!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. My youngest son is my son that really knows what he wants and he's going after it. My other two have no clue at this point. I'm still not real thrill with the Marines decision but I'll have to learn to accept it if he gets in. I was trying to get him more toward the Air Force where he could really use his education, but he has his mind set on the Marines. We should know sometime in June if he gets accepted into the Officers Training School.

Danauk, sounds like a wonderful trip you will be planning. One thing I love to do is plan vacations/trips. My DH says I should be a travel agent. Also congrads on your new niece.

Nancy, hope your DH is feeling better today, it's tough to be on vacation and not feeling well. Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Sounds like fun trip planning, Karen.

DH is still sick....not a fun vacation for him. We check out today, so he gets to lay around the lobby until this afternoon then deal with a bus ride, waiting at the airport and the flight home and a 7 am meeting tomorrow....and he leaves for a business trip on Sunday  Poor guy.

Closing down the computer now....couldn't get on the dis this morning at all.
Be on my own, slow computer tomorrow morning.

Jean, more {{HUGS}} and prayers! Whatever service your DS chooses, he is a remarkable, respected, Brave man! :worship: I know the 'Poster Man' for the Marines from several years ago (my brother's friend), I HAVE his poster - autographed and framed, and I know my DBIL, an air force reservist who's served 3 times in various countries these past several years (a RETIRED Chicago Cop), and 2 of my cousins have also served, one of them so long - he's retired already at an earlier age than me! My grandfather served in WWII, my Uncles served in Korea and Viet Nam. I deeply respect them all, and ALL our brave men & women serving our country - VOLUNTARILY! If NOT for these brave men & women, there might be a draft again. That would mean MY DS might be drafted and who, no offense to him, is incapable of doing the job that your DS is volunteering to do. That speaks volumes of your DS! :worship: I'm sorry that it's no consolation tho. :grouphug: Be PROUD of your DS! :goodvibes And accept my gratitude and prayers, please!

I haven't eaten there either.
From Barbara's reviews ;), not in any hurry to try it out.
