No to the Y House.
Yes, many times at C Jack's. Although we are not fans of their all day the same menu they have now. We last went at lunch probably 3 months ago. And it was more of an EARLY dinner, since it was a much heavier meal than what we normally would eat at lunch. Although that made me have some good leftovers to take home.
Love Wetzel's Pretzels. But not worth a special trip into DTD to get them. We use to go there almost every PI night since for whatever reason PI offered pretty much nothing in the way of food for at least the last 3 - 4 years.

As a side note: WE saw Alice in Wonderland today (3D). Beforehand we went to T Rex as first timers. The food was much better than I expected. I had the fish and chips and it was yummy! :thumbsup2

Another side note -- Nancy, the new Vinylmations store in West Side has quite a bit of AC decor. Most noticeable was the Chinese looking armor and the zebra cut horizontal in half.

Next time there we will have to check out the store to see the AC things....I don't like Vinylmation, but will look for that.

Side note.....we put a bid in for another DVC purchase today :woohoo:

It is noisy. But we did not mind it. Although I will say after an hour I was kind of glad to leave, due to the noise and all.
We got at T Rex probably shortly after 11. We wondered if they had just opened a bit before that. It started filling in fast. And it was noisy, and I was expecting that. But I am not so sure it was noisier than RFC. However it was not completely full as RFC has been when we at the DTD location.

DH was telling me about a vinylmation that is the Colonel from AC. We are not into vinylmations. But I would buy that. (Saw him on display in the store.)
However --- the Col is apparently "a chaser". Meaning there is one Col in a whole box of vinylmations, from what DH has read. (Park #4 set). And I am not buying a lot of vinylmations to get one Col.
Sure, one can buy a whole freakin' set and the Col will be in it. But no thanks. :headache:
Steve (the pin guy) was there and must be over vinylmations too. (And an AC fan.) I suggested he have a whole set created based on AC. THAT I would buy. :thumbsup2 Ugly vinylmation or not. :rotfl2:

Happy Easter!
Sommerfest -- Yes, if that is the brat counter service. DH ate there a few months back. And they also had Black Forest cake as a dessert option. I did not recall that before. (Probably due to the dining plan.)

Happy Easter

Thank you Barb

I don't like the vinylmation either

Have not eaten at Sommerfest

We have been a few times.
They used to have a ham sandwich on pretzel bread (not sure if they still do). Loved that.
We rarely seem to eat over on that side. Must be the way we tour.

I don't recall that, Nancy. But I have not eaten there for awhile. So they could have it.
I was at Biergarten around a month ago. They had prezel bread at the buffet. :woohoo::banana:

The pretzel bread sandwich was years ago....at least 7-8 when we did an eat around the world ;)

::yes:: the pretzel bread has been at Biergarten every time we've been there. I am a picky eater, so good to have it. It fills me up if nothing else is appealing :teeth:

Paw Print Brownies

Recipe By :Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
Serving Size : 20 Preparation Time :0:00
Categories : Cookies

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
Brownies
9 ounces bittersweet chocolate
1 pound butter
6 whole eggs
4 cups sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 3/4 cup cake flour
Frosting
1 cup heavy cream
6 ounces white chocolate
8 ounces semisweet chocolate
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1 stencil rubber mat with a paw-print
design cutout

Melt chocolate and butter in a bowl set over a pot of hot water on the stove.
In a mixing bowl fitted with a whip, place the eggs, vanilla extract and sugar, and mix at medium speed. Continue whipping for about 3 minutes until light in color. Change the machine attachment to a paddle. Once the chocolate and butter have melted, add them to the whipped eggs.
Add the flour until well combined but do not overmix.
Pour the batter on a 12-by-16-inch baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake in 350º F oven for 30-35 minutes. (This can be done 1 day ahead and kept in the refrigerator.)
To make the frosting, chop the white and semisweet chocolate into 1/2-inch pieces and place them in a bowl. Heat the heavy cream in a small pot. Once it is very hot, pour into the chocolate pieces to melt them. Stir constantly until all pieces are dissolved and cool to room temperature.
Ladle the frosting on the surface of the brownies and smooth evenly with an icing spatula. Place the brownies into the refrigerator to set the frosting.
Once the frosting is set, cut brownies into 3-inch-by-3-inch squares and separate them. Place the paw-print stencil on each brownie. Place the cocoa powder into a sifter and dust the center of each brownie with the cocoa to create the paw-print design.

I loved the Mara when we stayed at AKL. The African soup in a bread bowl was a really good use of a counter service credit on the DP. Ooh and the zebra domes as a snack credit too!!

Haven't eatent here either.
We never stay at AKL, so when we go over there we always seem to go to Boma.

At the Mara, I like to order the 1/2 chicken meal. It uses different spices than I usually have, but it's tasty for me and I like the change including the sides, I think squash...it's been awhile since I've been to the Mara. I would have a refrigerator in the studio for any leftovers that I make into a cold salad.
