Restaurant reviews and recipes...formerly Disney QOTD

NON disney question:

Just got an e-mail from a friend that one of her friends was murdered
Have you ever know someone that died a violent death?

I am so sorry for your friend.

I had an uncle commit suicide in front of his wife. :sad2:

I was visiting an aunt when the police came to use her phone to inform parents that their son was gone (he went underneath a truck on his motorcycle, I'll spare you the details).

Then there was the dream I had that a woman was murdered by her husband, only to wake up and read the paper that it actually happened.

No, I haven't.

My DH has had his share though. His brother and mother both commited suicide before I met him. Very sad.

My DH's aunt commited suicide too......very hard on the cousin that found her, because she also found her father after he commited suicide

This friend's friend was shot and killed and then her boyfriend set both his and her houses on fire and then killed himself

Nancy I know its little comfort to thoes she left behind, especially since they will never know why he did it. But at least the scum took his own life.

I guess it was quite an ordeal. Apparently he called the police and told them all about it.

DD just said one of her friends in college killed himself. She never told me that before.

What's for dinner tonight?
Do you cook different things for different people at home if someone doesn't like what you plan in fixing?

Since it's only me & dad, we can usually agree on something. Once in a while, one of us wants something the other doesn't like, so we cook our own dinner. When we were kids, my mom wouldn't do it, but there were 6 of us! Most nights, we ate what dad liked, but most of the time we all liked it too. and mom was a great cook.

Tonight, it's just me--dad's going to a BBQ with some friends, so I think I'm going to treat myself to a nice panni from Panera Bread.

Tonight is Italian grilled chicken, green beans, mashed potatos with brown gravy & corn on the cob. The kids don't like the chicken so I'll throw them a couple of chicken tenders in the fryer while the rest is cooking....they'll eat the same sides......well, not the mashed potatoes.....I think I must have the only kids in the world who don't like mashed potatoes. I could have lived off mashed potatoes & corn when I was little......I'd make mashed potatoe sandwiches.....:rotfl:

I don't fix special......it is just me and DH or just me if he is on a business trip.
When the kids were little, they ate what we had.....I didn't want to run a restaurant :rotfl:

Tonight it may be just me, or DH might make it for dinner, not sure on him.
I am fixing a copy of Applebee's chicken roll up. Yum! I need to go make the pico de gallo and dipping sauce now.

I am in the EE group. But DH doesn't like it, so I have to ride alone, so don't do it as much as I would like to.

You just need to meet up with one of us! :goodvibes

There was just a big murder trial here--made the news because it's such a tiny, quiet town. The husband was just convicted of murdering his wife in the pool while the kids were sleeping. Mistress had his baby while he was in jail awaiting trial. This was a prominent family in town, but altho I had met her at school I didn't know her.

A child in our neighborhood hung himself a few years ago--not sure if it was deliberate. there were rumors of it being due to a "game" some teens play. Very sad.

And my step mom's cousin was murdered by her husband in their jacuzzi--that story was on tv. The convicted him after he murdered wife #2.

How about a happy question now, Nancy? :flower3:

We are having cheeseburgers, and since its just the 2 of us we almost always eat the same thing.

When I was growing up if my sister and I didn't want what mom and dad were having she would fix us something different, until I was old enough to do it for us.

DS grilled for us last night and we had burgers and cheddar dogs, corn on the cob. I tried a new recipe for a s'more casserole on the grill that was sooooo good. And we also had Cold Stone cupcakes. Yummy!!

I am cooking for them tomorrow when they come over for a pool party.

Oh pool party, what time. ;)

My mom's family always accused her of spoiling us, but I hardly call making us something different for dinner as spoiling. I mean that was about the extent of getting away with anything.

I read that article, another girlfriend shot in the chest, but was ruled a suicide attempt, seems a bit suspicious now.

That makes what 3 cast members now? :sad1:

I think my mom may have done that if she had less kids. It would have just been too much.

it is the 3rd castmember death. So very sad.
