Our 1st dinner was at Boatwrights. We were interested in the Cajun selections on the menu, and must say that the Gumbo Appetizer was fantastic. I was a little disappointed in the Jambalaya... but it wasn't bad. The portion was HUGE, and my mom and I could have very easily shared. The Flan for desert was delicious, as was the Melanie's Colada. Service was good. Rating: 2 3/4 stars
For Breakfast the next morning, we dined at 1900 Park Faire. DD dressed in her deluxe Christmas Belle Dress for the occasion, and enjoyed coloring in the lobby with Mary Poppins and Bert. Once inside, we were seated and spoiled rotten by our server. Our juice glasses were NEVER empty, and I swear we must have drank a carafe of OJ each (it was delicious). We all had the made to order omelets, which were perfect (I would have liked to have taken the chef home with me!). Another of my favorites was the cheese home fry potatos. I really should have asked for the recipe! The entire buffet was spectacular! The characters were very attentive and made their way 2-3 times by each table. Alice was a delight, asking my DD is she could try on her tiara, saying that Cinderella never lets her because she will break it. She even loaned DD a bobby pin to help hold it in, as it kept sliding. It was cute seeing her pin it on DD's head... DD just beamed! 4 out of 4 stars
Dinner was at 'Ohana, and it was great! Service was extremely attentive, and we never had to ask for more, it was just there. All of the meat selections were perfectly cooked, and you HAVE To try the peanut dipping sauce, it is to DIE for!!! Of course, we all enjoyed the pineapple with the caramel sauce. DD really enjoyed this meal this time around... no need to request the kids menu from Kona Cafe! 4 out of 4 stars
The next day was the Food and Wine Festival. My parents thoroughly enjoyed this, but I am not into wine, or counterservice, so I wasn't as into it. We did eat lunch at the Matsu No Ma Lounge. I had the California and Cucumber rolls, DH had the Yellowfin sushi, DD had the Tempura Shrimp, my DF had the Sushi appetizer and my mom had the California roll. DD even liked the California roll this time! Service was impeccable, as usual! 3 out of 4 stars
Breakfast at Sassagoula's at PO-FQ was great... something for everyone, and I especially enjoyed the Beignets! 3 1/2 out of 4 stars
50's Prime Time Cafe was a hit with the whole family! We had a really cool "mom", who scolded when she needed to...but she liked me---lol! DH and I both had the potroast, DF had the fried chicken and DM had the meatloaf (now my mother eats like a bird, and she cleaned her plate!!!) DD had the macaroni and cheese. We had those wonderful S'mores for dessert! My dad was so impressed, he promised "mom" that when he came in after playing, he would cut the grass... and then he gave her a hug! It was TOO funny! 4 1/2 out of 4 stars
Wednesday DD and I ate at the MacDonald's at DTD, after going to Wolfgang Puck Express, which I like, but didn't do anything for DD. Actually, everything was cooked to order fresh, and DD got a big kick out of the soda machine... you really should check it out... it was kind of neat! 2 1/2 out of 4 stars
For dinner, we ordered a pizza from Sassagoula's with Pepperoni, Sausage and Mushrooms and ate in the food court while watching Toy Story II. It was a nice relaxed, laid back meal. DD enjoyed it, and DH and I kicked back with a beer. The pizza was wonderful....very tasty, with just the right amount of sauce, and lots of cheese. The crust was "just right", too! 3 1/2 out of 4 stars
On Thursday, we ate lunch at Pecos Bills at the MK. We had delicious cheeseburgers and french fries, and the fixings table was great. I loved the sauteed mushrooms for the burgers! Much as I usually dislike counterservice, this was really good! 3 1/4 out of 4 stars
DD went to the Neverland Club while we had our date night. We ate at Narcoosee's and spent far too much, as usual, but it was DELICIOUS! We had the Filet and Lobster Tail with Augratin Potatos. DH had his filet medium, and it was truly medium...cooked to perfection, and melted in his mouth. I had mine well done, so it was butterflied. It was just as moist and tender as the medium cooked filet. The lobster tail in Vanilla sauce was delightful as well. For appetizers, I had the Prince Edward Island Mussels, and DH had the Southwest Little Neck Clams. Both appetizers were delicious, as was the sour dough bread served with the meal. Our service was fantastic here, as usual, and of course the table next to the window overlooking the Magic Kingdom added just the right ambience. There were 2 wedding receptions there as we dined, and they seemed to be having a marvelous time, while not taking away from the other diner's experiences. 4 1/2 out of 4 stars
On Friday we had no PS for lunch, but were starving, so I was able to get 11:30 PS at Mama Melrose for lunch. We had a great server, and the atmosphere there was really neat. I had the Wild Mushroom Risoto, which was delicious, if not very filling. DH had the Rigatoni and Sausage, which was also delicious. We split a salad of field greens. DD had the spaghetti, which she always enjoys, and DH and I split a carafe of Sangria, which was very tasty. 3/3/4 out of 4 stars
For dinner, we returned to our "never miss" restaurant, Cape May Cafe, and of course, were not at all disappointed. We had fantastic service, the buffet was fantastic, the mussels, clams and steamed shrimp were delicious. I also enjoyed the salad bar, and mashed potatos, and DH enjoyed the New England Clam Chowder. DD and I especially enjoyed the dessert bar! 3 3/4 out of 4 stars
Our last day I had to have those beignets again for breakfast, and DD had the Junior breakfast plate with eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and biscuit, and DH had an omelet (which they do make to order).
For lunch, we ordered another pizza from the food court, and enjoyed it immensely.
We had great meals, great service, good value and no complaints whatsoever !
