We did lots of eating on our wedding/honeymoon trip, LOL! Here's what we thought of each restaurant, I hope it helps with planning:

Kona Café – Dinner – B-

I ate here with my best friend two nights before my wedding. We both had the Pan Asian Pasta and shared the KoKo Puffs for dessert. Our dinner at Kona Café had been our favorite meal on our last Disney trip, so we arrived anticipating a wonderful meal. My best friend’s pasta was wonderful, and she enjoyed it tremendously. Unfortunately mine had way too much soy sauce on it, making it too salty. The KoKo Puffs for dessert were excellent. The service we received was excellent, and I very much like the ambience of the restaurant. Despite my overly salty pasta, I think Kona Café is an excellent restaurant, and I will dine here again.

‘Ohana – Dinner – A

We had our rehearsal dinner at ‘Ohana, as it is one of our favorite restaurants at Disney World. As usual, our food was delicious! All the meats were tender and very flavorful. I just love the shrimp and vegetable wontons. I look forward to eating at ‘Ohana again.

Kona Café – Breakfast – A+

I had breakfast here with my parents the morning of my wedding. I had the Tonga Toast, and all the hype I had read about it is true—it is fabulous! I also tasted my mom’s Ham and Cheese Omelet. It was honestly one of the best omelets I have ever tasted—full of flavor. My dad had the Banana and Pecan Pancakes, which he said were outstanding. I can’t wait to eat breakfast here again!

Roaring Fork at Wilderness Lodge – Lunch – A

My husband and I ate a quick lunch here with my parents. We were pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the food. I had a chicken Caesar wrap that was very fresh, crisp, and tasty. My husband had a pepperoni personal pizza, which he said was good (you will notice a trend that he eats tons of pepperoni pizza). My mom enjoyed her Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich, and my dad also liked his Philly Steak. We thought the food was a good value for the money. I would happily eat here again.

GF Room Service – Dinner – B

My husband and I ate Grand Floridian room service the night after our wedding. We weren’t very hungry, so we ordered off the children’s menu, which was a perfect size of meal for our smaller appetites that evening. I had PB&J Daisy’s Way, and it was good. He had Chicken by Jiminy (chicken fingers), and he said they were quite good. Of course, this food was not memorable, but how could you possibly make a PB&J sandwich outstanding, LOL! Our meal was satisfying and tasty, and I would have room service here again.

Cinderella’s Royal Table – Lunch – A

We met up with part of my family on one of the first few days of our honeymoon. For lunch I had Bruno’s BBQ, which I thought was outstanding (particularly the delicious apple walnut cake that comes served with it). My husband and dad both had the Coachman sandwich, which they both liked. My mom was not very hungry, so she just had a bowl of vegetable soup that I think she enjoyed. My little cousin (he’s 3) had a cheese corndog type of thing with corn and mashed potatoes. He liked the corndogs, but he wanted to know where the sticks were (they are really just friend hot dogs). He ate all the hotdog, but only after making my mom pick off every little speck of cheese, LOL! He also ate some of the corn, but didn’t seem to want any mashed potatoes. We enjoyed this meal a great deal, and I would definitely eat here again.

Liberty Tree Tavern – Dinner – A+

This was another meal that we ate with our family. Our server was wonderful—very polite and attentive. This character meal is a favorite of mine, and this meal did not disappoint. The food was outstanding! The macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes were especially flavorful, as was the delicious apple cobbler a la mode for dessert. It’s also worth mentioning that the rolls they serve here are incredible! Warning: the rolls are addictive, and you will eat too many. ;-) I can’t wait to eat here again!

GF Room Service – Breakfast – B-

My husband and I both had French toast for breakfast, which we thought was good, not outstanding in any way, but not bad at all either. Our server was very friendly, and our food was nice and warm. Though the meal was not fabulous in any way, it filled us up and got us to a good start for our day of park touring. I would eat this again.

Rainforest Café at Downtown Disney – Lunch – A

Despite its many critics, I enjoy eating at Rainforest Café a great deal. I had my favorite menu item, the Bamba’s BBQ Wrap with chicken, and it was wonderful as usual. Our server was a little bit slow, but very polite. Colin had the Flying Dragon Pepperoni Pizza, which he declared to be one of the best pizzas he has ever had! Now he eats pepperoni pizza at least 3 times per week, so if he says it’s that good, it really must be great! I look forward to eating here again.

Boma – Dinner – C

The first time I ate dinner at Boma several trips ago, it was a very memorable, outstanding meal. However, the menu does rotate, and we were not able to find a wide variety of foods that appealed to us on this visit. To be fair, we are pretty picky eaters. The desserts were outstanding though. I do not think that we will make it a priority to eat dinner here again, though I love their breakfast and plan to eat that meal again.

Liberty Tree Tavern – Lunch – A

This is a wonderful place for lunch at the Magic Kingdom. I find it to be a peaceful retreat from the bustle of the park. I had the Colony Salad (a HUGE entrée salad), and it was absolutely outstanding! My DH had “A Favorite of the Vermont Green Mountain Boys,” which was a grilled pork chop. Not knowing much about how pork should be cooked, I told him to order it medium well. Sadly, he said that made it overcooked a bland. Oops! Otherwise it looked like it would’ve been delicious. We also shared the Chocolate Liberation Cake for dessert (it is a warm chocolate lava cake with raspberry sauce). It was wonderful and rich. We will definitely eat here again.

BoardWalk Inn Room Service – Dinner – B-

For this meal I had the Waterfront Wrap (sort of like a club sandwich but in a tortilla instead) with fries and Colin had the Mile Long Hot Dog with fries. My wrap was good, but not outstanding. His hot dog was HUGE and delicious. I was a little worried that the fries from room service might be cold, but they were hot and crisp. Overall we were pleased with our food, but it wasn’t a stand-out on our trip. We would do this again if it was convenient.

Donald’s Breakfastosaurus – Breakfast – C+

I wanted to eat here since I had read that the characters dress up in Christmas apparel around the holidays. We were able to see each of the characters (Donald, Mickey, Pluto, etc.) several times, which was very nice. Also, they took a picture of us at a little kiosk outside the restaurant that turned out very well. During the meal a cast member brought by a photo package that we purchased. There were lots of choices on the buffet, including a made to order omelet station. However, I did have a little problem with things running out. I went up to the buffet twice, and a couple of things were running low both times. The restaurant was quite busy though. All our food was tasty and hot. I would eat here again, but it was not one of our very favorites.

Rainforest Café at Animal Kingdom – Lunch – A-

As I mentioned earlier, I really enjoy the RFC. For this meal I had my old standby, the Bamba’s BBQ wrap with fries. Yum! It was excellent as usual. Colin had the Rumble in the Jungle Turkey Pita, which he said was quite good as well. Our server at this location was slower than the service at Downtown Disney. We would eat here again happily.

Spoodles Pizza Window – Dinner – B-

Colin ate a quick dinner here twice, and he had pepperoni pizza both times (I told you he loves pizza, LOL!). He said the pizza was good, but not as good as the pizza at Rainforest Café. He would eat here again when convenient.

BoardWalk Inn Room Service – Dinner – B-

Since I was not in the mood for pizza, I had the children’s chicken finger meal with fries from room service. They were very tasty and arrived promptly. I would eat here again when convenient as well.

Le Cellier – Lunch – A

Le Cellier is one of our favorite WDW restaurants, and we were not disappointed. We both had the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup as an appetizer. It was creamy and flavorful, but a teeny tiny bit too peppery this visit (it wasn’t spicy on our last trip at all). I had the Grilled Steak Burger with cheddar cheese, and it was outstanding. Their meat is so flavorful, and the unique bun is delicious. Colin had the Toronto Chicken Sandwich, which he really enjoyed as well. He did say that he enjoyed the French Dip he had gotten on his last trip to Le Cellier a little bit more though. We are looking forward to eating here again.

Artist Point – Dinner – A+

We wanted to have a special meal during our honeymoon, so we splurged with a meal at Artist Point. We wanted something upscale, but with food that would appeal to picky eaters and that was a good-sized portion. We didn’t want frou-frou food, LOL! Our server was outstanding, and was very attentive. The restaurant has a nice view of the Wilderness Lodge and a very relaxing atmosphere. I wasn’t very hungry and wanted to save room for the berry cobbler that I had heard such wonderful things about, so I had the Smoky Portobello Soup as my main course. It is truly excellent, and they serve it with a lovely presentation. Our server let me taste it to be sure it would appeal to me, and he even provided us with the recipe to take home. Colin had the Pan-Seared Scallops, which he said were outstanding! We then shared the Artist Point Cobbler, which was phenomenal! It isn’t a southern-style cobbler; it’s more of a mildly sweet cobbler/cake type of dessert with fruit in it and ice cream on top. It’s truly fantastic! Also, we mentioned that we had gotten married at WDW the Saturday before, and our server treated us to a complimentary Fourless Chocolate Whiskey Cake. It was also GREAT! So my advice is to save room for dessert when eating at Artist Point. We look forward to eating here again-yum!

Concourse Steakhouse – Breakfast – B-

The Concourse Steakhouse is a favorite of ours for breakfast. I love to dine with the monorail gliding by—it’s definitely something you can only do at WDW. We both had the Chef’s Madness with the Magic Kingdom Express (two eggs, sausage, a biscuit, potatoes, and mini sticky mickeys). Everything was very tasty and flavorful, with the exception of the sticky mickeys. Those were our favorite part of the meal on our last trip, but this time ours were a little hard. I think that might’ve been because we came in at the very end of breakfast service, but it was a little disappointing nonetheless. We do plan to eat here again though, since we had an excellent meal otherwise and loved the sticky mickeys on our last visit.

Everything Pop Food Court at Pop Century – Lunch – B

We had a late lunch at the Pop Century food court and were pleased by the variety and number of meal choices. Colin had a personal pepperoni pizza, which he said was only OK. I had a Philly Cheese steak Wrap with no onions, and mine was yummy. They were happy to make one up for me with no onions, and I only had to wait about 4-5 minutes for it. It’s a very convenient place for a quick bite.

Everything Pop Food Court at Pop Century – Breakfast – C+

We decided to grab a quick bite for breakfast here the morning we were heading back home. We went down to breakfast around 9:30 am, and the food court was packed! There were no tables available, so we got our meal to go and took it back to our room. Despite the hassle of trying to get the food and find a place to eat it, my ham and cheese omelet was quite good. It also came with breakfast potatoes that were tasty as well. Colin had a breakfast burrito that he like a lot. We would eat the food again, but the crowds were pretty bad (this was during holiday season though).

You ate at a couple of the places we are eating at this weekend, Ohana's and Le Cellier. We are doing dinner at Ohana's and lunch at Le Cellier, also. The cheese soup sounds so good, so many people here on the DIS have raved about it!! and dinner at Ohana sounds unique. Since I have never eaten at these places, your reviews are quite reassuring. Thanks so much for taking the time to post them.

Congrats on your marriage. I can't imagine how magical a Disney wedding must be!! :bride: :groom:

Thanks again!

Congratulations on your wedding!

Reading restaurant reviews really makes me miss WDW ::MickeyMo. Sounds like you have a great time and great meals. Thank you for the detailed reviews, I enjoyed reading them!

Congrats on your marriage ~ Thanx for the detailed reviews.

Thanks for the reviews! Sounds like you guys had some great meals.
Its funny we had a similar experirence at Kona. We were really looking forward to it(my birthday dinner) and while it was still very good, its was a little different than it had been which was a little disappointing. We would go back again, but after trying Ohana, that is now our favorite restaurant. :D

I know exactly what you mean, CamColt. It's not that our meal wasn't good, it just wasn't quite as good as the trip before. I love 'Ohana too. You just really can't go wrong when eating at the Poly, LOL! :sunny:

Congratulations on your marriage! It sounds as if you had some great meals while at WDW. I know it's just counter service fast food and that's why it's not mentioned much but the food IS good at Roarking Forks isn't it? It's the best "fast food" we've had at any of the resorts we have stayed.

Ooo Elisabeth that sounded wonderful - great reviews :)

I love those rolls at LTT and the honey butter that is served with them makes them ever so yummy. What characters did you have ?

I went to Artist Point also for the first time in December and loved it - great choice.

I was pleased to see lots of room service on your honeymoon as well ;) ;)
