We will be traveling to WDW in a few weeks and would like to eat at a nice restaurant either at Epcot or a resort, the catch is we will be dining with our 4 and 2 year old. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Epcot eateries:

Le Cellier (but it will probably be VERY hard to get a reservation at this point). Canada
Rose and Crown - UK pavillion
The Garden Grill - character lunch and dinner located in the Land pavillion.
Teppanyaki - Japan (kind of like the Benihana chain)

Resort restaurants:

Boma at AKL
'Ohana at the Polynesian
There are TONS at the Boardwalk area.

Check out www.wdwig.com and look at the menus from the different restaurants. When you decide, call 407-WDW-DINE and make reservations - do this quick!

Good luck. Hope this helps!

i have traveled with my kids and like to go to nice dinners as well. i was pleased with the yachtsman steakhouse at the yacht club. although a nice place they catered to the kids and we were not uncomfortable dining there like at shula's, which doesn't really want the small children in my opinion. we also dined at jiko with the kids as well and it was also fine.

Do you mean good, well prepared food, a place where the kids will be entertained so you can enjoy your meal, a relaxing environment, romantic(okay maybe not w/ the kids), or just some place everyone will have a good time?

I was thinking Ohana, food's good, there is alot and I think there are childrens selections if the kids don't like the normal family style menu, and they got singing and games going on for the kids.

I highly recommend Spoodles on the Boardwalk. Its a nice walk (or boat ride if you want) from the International Gateway part of Epcot to the Boardwalk resorts. Good grown up food and out kids liked it for a break from the park, ages 6, 4, and 1.

This is what I would recommend:

Rose & Crown @ EPCOT
Le Cellier @ EPCOT
O'Hana's @ Polynesian
Whispering Canyon Cafe @ WL
Spoodles @ Boardwalk

*Epcot*
Le Cellier -- the food here is amazing, but I'm not sure how much fun the children would have. It's more of a calm atmosphere
Garden Grill -- the character lunch I had here was great. Mickey, Chip, Dale and Pluto all were able to make it to our table twice, sign books, take pictures. The food was good as well: Flank steak and catfish with veggies and a great potato gratin casserole for the adults with chicken fingers, macaroni and cheese, french fries and veggies for the kids. If you kids love characters, this might be one of the ways to go

Ohana - Family-style meal served with skewers. If the kids don't like the regular food served, then there are some children's options. There is music, a hula hoop contest, a coconut scoot across the floor race, and other fun activities that your children can participate in. It was great fun

Chef Mickeys - I've never been for dinner, but you didn't specify the time of day, so I'm going to add the breakfast here. It's one of my favorites -- just a fun-filled atmosphere (and maybe that breakfast is my favorite meal might be sneaking into that decision). Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, Chip and Dale are on hand to "visit" and take pictures/sign autographs. They sing a birthday song usually twice during your meal where you twirl your napkin in the air, and the selection is amazing (there was everything from donus, to mickey shaped waffles, fruit, cereal, pizza, and anything else you could imagine having for breakfast). It's a great time.

Good luck with your decisions. Enjoy the food at Disney, it's great!

I always say if the kids are happy mom & dad are happy. Therefore, I would pick a kids friendly place.

Ohana's at the Poly
Whispering Canyon at WL (Which btw, my teens still like)
chef Mickey's at CR

Have great time
