I know that this polarizing restaurant is discussed ad nauseum, but I want to see how the numbers stack up. Do you love it or hate it? Please, vote in the poll and feel free to detail your position below if you wish.

Besides the Crystal Palace, it's the only restaurant we're repeating on this trip. We like the food, the wine list is expansive (if you're into that....we are!), and we like the atmosphere.

We'll be eating dinner there one week from today - Woo Hoo! :woohoo:

A definite must. I highly recommend it. Never had a bad meal whether seafood or steak. My family loves it. Also atmosphere was very good. And the scenery is a plus. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I am in the no thank you column. While the tanks are col, very underwhelmed by the food and service. Some in our group left hungry, that should never happen!

Coral Reef is my favorite WDW restaurant - love the atmosphere with the aquarium view and we've always had excellent meals there.

I voted 'yea', but you know that. They'd get a bigger thumbs up out of me if they brought back that delicious catfish, though.

A big fat YEA! In 5 visits, we have never had a bad meal or poor service. DH says it's his favorite Disney restaurant.

I'm susprised there are so many positive votes. I see a lot of unfavorable reviews of this place around here, I thought for sure this was going to be a lot closer to 50/50.

Sometimes I think the negative remarks are kind of like the squeaky wheels...we tend to hear them & remember them more...or people with complaints are more likely to speak up than people who had a good experience. If you go into a place & expect it to be cool & give you good food...and then it's exactly what you expected, you smile, say that was fun & that's that. You might mention it to a friend or relative, but probably just in the context of "we had a great time at Disney...good rides, good food, etc." Now if you went in expecting cool atmosphere & good food...and it was hectic, terrible service & lousy food: then you'd probably tell everyone you know how bad it was because you were so disappointed. Just human nature, I think.

The place serves thousands of people every week...if it was that bad it would get a lot of complaints & be re-done or replaced.

We just ate there on June 19th - one of the best meals of our trip. Steak was excellent and service was great. Loved being able to watch the fish as we ate. Also got to see a few divers.

This will be on our list for our next trip!

It's not the food that is so horrible it is the service If you want to wait 45 min past your res time than fine We have never had good service. Been there at least 5 times. It's like we get a new waitress or something Staring at the tank when they ask our order calling me lady

NAY! Unimpressive food, small portions for big $$ and horrible service! There are too many good restaurants at WDW, so why return?

We've been there several times & every meal was great. I travel with a couple of picky eaters & even they're happy. Mahi Mahi, steak, chicken - we've enjoyed them all. Chocolate wave is fantastic.

I like Coral Reef, so I am happy by the result of the poll, but I admit I am surprised. The reviews on the boards are typically a lot more divided. Perhaps that's just my perception.

We have eaten there many times and we have always had fantastic food. The service can be "meh" if you are in a hurry. DH loves the Mahi Mahi with the cashew-jasmine rice. I have had the New York Strip Steak and it was so tender. I had the Lobster Ravioli - with tomatoes, olives, capers, and shaved parmegiano-reggiano cheese last trip and loved it. We are doing the QSDP in Aug and decided to book 2 or 3 TS and Coral Reef:fish: is on the list.

We did not experience this on our trip last week. We arrived early and were seated in less than 5 min, which was before our ADR time. It was full and it was raining so the lobby was crowded, but I was pleasantly surprised by our very short wait.

Waitress was busy, but she did take time to tell us about the menu and what she felt were good choices. She did say the steak was the most popular item and man was it good! Good size, the pototoes were a little skimpy but were good. Overall wonderful meal!

I am a nay. I have had such poor service and mediocre food for expensive prices at Coral Reef that I will not go back. For me, there are too many other great restaurants in Epcot to go back to this one.
