I am having a wedding at WDW and the family would like to dine at one of the resorts afterwards. Any ideas on a good place for this type of thing? Please include approx. prices for places you suggest. ;)

Do you mean for lunch or dinner? any kids or all adults? what type of budget? With those details, choices could be narrowed down... but I'll name some places I would take my family.

My top choice would be Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club. It is fairly expensive. I have seen many wedding parties there as well as California Grill.

If you want a real "Disney" experience and there are kids, you could go to Chef Mickey's. Another choice with kids would be 'Ohana.

You would have a good meal and a fun time at Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Your family may really enjoy trying this wonderful food and visiting the beautiful resort. One thing about a buffet is you would know the exact price for each person. before hand.

here is a link to a menus from all the restaurants with the prices..

It will be dinner, 8-10 adults, and as for budget... I don't really know what the dinners range from at the resorts. I would guess that we wouldn't want to spend more than $30-$40 per person.

Thanks for putting the buffet idea out there, I hadn't considered that. Thanks for the link too!

If it is an all adult party..Artist Point has the pre-fixed menu which allows you 4 courses for $49 per person. The food is fantastic, service fantastic and great atmosphere. Quite nice for an after wedding dinner.

That is probably as close as you get, if you plan on doing the whole appetizer, salad, entree, dessert thing.

Other than that..a buffet would defiantely be your best bet. Now for lunch/dinner..out of the parks, because you didn't say if everyone would have park admission, which they would need in order to eat in the parks with you.
Buffet suggestions;
Lunch..Fresh at Dolphin is suppose to be great.
Dinner...Boma would probaby be my first choice, then Chef Mickeys. There is also the clambake at Beach Club which might be nice.

Is Cinderella's Royal Table a very kid friendly restaurant? I like the idea of the pictures they take while you're there, but I would also like to be in an adult atmosphere as there won't be kids at the wedding.

Another vote for BOMA!!! We LOVE it there and there is something for everyone..... Have fun! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

There will definately be kids at Cindys but its fun to eat in the castle anyways and can be very romantic. If you will want to remain in your wedding dress you will need to choose a resort (as opposed to theme park) restuarant. You can't go to the theme parks in your dress.

For your budget I'd probably choose Ohana (lots of kid stuff though) or Boma, or maybe even the Grand Floridian Cafe. If you wanted to go with $50 to $60 dollars per person I would go with Artist Point or Jiko or Cali Grill

Great advice everyone, keep it comin'. I will definetly look into BOMA.

Afterthought: I think I'd like to stay away from buffets for the reception. I think I should be served on my wedding day! :bride: ;)

How about Palio's at the Swan? We love their romantic atmosphere and the Italian food is out of this world, plus affordable. They probably have a private area of the restaurant, or secluded area, and they have a strolling musician who takes request.
