Can someone please give me any info on Marrakesh? DH thinks it looks good and wants to try it. DSIL and DSILF said they will try anything. All the kids and I are extremely picky. I know that we are getting FD and if I don't like it, I can always get something else somewhere else OOP. Does anyone have any opinions? TIA

I am the pickiest eater and I loved it. It is Morroccan food, but I found the Chicken kebabs to be really mild and not at all spicy.DH loved this meal, and so did my 4 yr old..But she ate Chicken tenders/fries

I've had the chicken kebabs and really liked them. However, if you order tea, it's very different! It's a mint tea, and if you are expecting your standard, run of the mill southern tea, it's qwit a different experience.

I'm also a picky eater and loved it. Either the chicken or beef kebabs are great. Our server told me that if I didn't like it, he would bring me something else instead - but I loved it!

We all love it, and have been back multiple times. Even my DM, who is a very picky eater and was nervous about trying it, really enjoyed the meal. You may not love the sound of everything on the menu, but you should be able to find something that will appeal to you.

It is a beautiful restaurant with wonderful servers. Honestly, I think you'll enjoy the experience.

When we went we were a party of 10 and were split in our opinions.
I really liked the salad that comes with your meal but that was about all I liked about my meal. However dh got lamb, loved his meal and said he would eat it again. My son-n-laws brother got the kebabs and he also liked them a lot! I agree with the poster who said the tea was different! Even though I wasnt thrilled with my meal the service was great.

So I guess we should go try it. Sounds like for the most part, everyone has had a good experience. Now we need to decide between Rose & Crown and Totto Italia and we will be all set. Thanks again everyone for your opinions! I feel a lot better about trying it now!

I'm a picky eater and I found the food at Marrakesh to be totally fine. I think I also had the chicken kebobs and they were good and pretty plain. This appears to be a problem for some adventursome eaters, but it works for me! The restaraunt is sooo pretty inside and the entertainment is good too. As far as Tutto vs Rose and Crown, I would do Tutto because Italian food is my favorite. Rose and Crown was really fun at night when the piano player was there, but most of the atmosphere was in the bar area and not the dining room. It was a hopping place at 8:00 on a saturday night though! Just depends on what you're looking for.

We went on our last trip. For some reason, my kids really like cous cous. Maybe because it is fun to say! :) They ordered the kids chicken meals just in case, but ate a good portion of my chicken cous cous as well. It is a beautiful setting and generally not too busy.

My sister and I are bith adenturous eaters, but my neice and fiance aren't really....This is one restaurant we will plan to book every trip now - it's one of the best on property IMO - the service was great and the food was amazing!

... maybe this should be posted somewhere else, but I'm specifically wondering about what's included at Marrakesh ... are the "Taste of Morocco" and "Sample Platters" included in the free dining? (I'm looking at the allears menu.)

And, how are the desserts?

Thanks!

You can order the Combo platters BUT you will pay oop extra charge for them. The desserts were ok, I really didn't care for the Baklava, but DH had one that was really good.

Do you normally like baklava? Just curious if it was theirs that you didn't like or if you don't like it on a regular basis or what. I love baklava and if you normally do too, maybe I should try something else! ;)

I am so excited to eat here after all these responses. Thank you all so much. I would still love hear anything you liked or didn't like!

We were excited to eat at Marrakesh on our last trip, but we were really disappointed. It was the blandest, most boring Moroccan food I've ever had. The show was good, but the food... bleck. The couscous was ok, nothing special. Mom got the beef brewat (sp?) rolls, and they were so dry you could hardly eat them.

It wasn't a matter of picky vs. not-picky; it was just not great food. I wish they'd revamp the menu here and get more authentically flavored dishes.

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise for DW and I. We only went because it was the only restaurant in Epcot that particular night that had a table available. We loved it. The waiter was extremely nice and told us he would bring us something different if neither liked what we got. We both ordered the lamb and he picked a very good wine to compliment it. It is fun to be adventerous sometimes.

We ate here on May 21st. We were going to eat at San Angel but when I saw the menu I knew there was nothing I would eat!!! I was expecting a little more taco, enchilada, type food. We called last minute and my husband and I tried Marrakesh - and I am glad we did. Hubby got lamb couscous that came with veggies also (excellent). I got the chicken kabobs - they were so flavorful. I tried the couscous and didn't like it but I have a texture issue!!!!

I would definitely recommend this place!!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
