Restaurant Marrakesh vs. Spice Road Table

Am I correct thinking that there's something about Moroccans and not eating beef? Something to do with the common religion there? Please someone, help me dust off my brain on this, or correct me if my thinking's wrong.

No, you're thinking of Hindus (primarily based in India). Muslims (predominant religion in Morocco) would not eat pork.

Thanks, that makes sense. When Mom and Dad were in India, they told us that there were cows roaming around because the people of India revered them.

This is still very true today. We briefly lived in Mumbai (formerly Bombay) a couple years ago and we would regularly see cows in the streets making busy traffic move around them. Cow beef was outlawed there, but water buffalo "beef" was available.
