Hi, I tried posting this under Disney restaurants, but I really want to find a place that serves lunch in the Vero Beach area.

Does anyone have a suggestion? I'm meeting friends next week for lunch, and so far the two places given me, only serve dinner on weekends.

Thanks so much!

Ocean Grill all the way! I don't believe they're open for lunch on Saturdays though.

We haven't ever ventured out of the resort to a restaurant, but I have seen many posts for Ocean Grill, Capt. Hirams, and Squidlips. Personally, Squidlips sounds a little unsettling to me, but it seems people love them.

I would love to..but they are the place that called me back to say they didn't realize my reservation was for a Saturday. I already had their menu memorized :(

Would you recommend a place right in Disney's Vero Beach? Although I'd rather be outside.

Some people have complained about VBs restaurants, and we really aren't restaurant goers much. But we have eaten at Sonya's, Shutter's, the Green Cabin Room, and of course lunch from the poolside grille. All have been excellent meals. We also have on a number of occasions ordered take-out from Sonya's/Shutter's. They don't advertise this service, but they will do it with a smile. We find that an entree is enought for two and so we order one entree, and two salads, take it back to our room and have a good meal for half the price and eat in the comfort of our own room.

I had a wonderful Italian meal at Amori in the downtown of VB. Front desk will give yo directions.

The Lemon Tree, Waldo's at the Driftwood and Bobby's are on Ocean Drive. Ay Jalisco! and Siam Orchid are on Miracle Mile. Riverside Cafe is near the marina by the Barber Bridge. Chelsea's on Cardinal is a deli that has light food and tables outside.

Try Ozzie's Crabhouse. We had a great meal there. The Garlic Crab was wonderful and the atmosphere was paper on the tables bar type but the food is great.:cool1:

Thank you all so much. I'll start with the Crabhouse, since we all have our hearts set on the seafood, after thinking we were going to the other place.

Don't forget to check the binder to the left of the front desk.. There are TONS of restaurants there... Also... The CM's at the desk are great... They are all locals and are really good at giving recommendations.

Thanks..we were looking for something we didn't have at home. We're staying at Disney World, and driving down to tour VB and meet friends.

Right now, it looks like Ozzie's will be it.
McDonald's -- Burger king -- Ruby Tuesdays -- Subway -- Pizza hut

any questions? :rotfl2:

I was there a couple of weeks ago and they now keep the binder with menus behind the desk. Just ask for them and you can sit in the lobby and go over it.
Went to Sqidd Lips for dinner and it was good. Ate Sunday brunch at the resort and it was very good. We also went to Mr. Manatees for chicken and ribs and our family liked this place. The prices were reasonable and they give you alot. They had a combo plate with 1/2 slab ribs,1/2 chicken, pulled pork and on the side fries and cole slaw for under $20 bucks.

we like all the places to eat at vero beach. We have eaten at capt. Hirams and also found an outback steak house
