I am looking for some ideas for good food choices at DLR. I like most foods but prefer spicy/special foods (not so much looking for regular burgers etc.). DS 9 isn't really a problem either as he will eat most regular kid's meals (no cheese though) eg. chicken, hamburger, pizza.

DS7 is the problem. He eats very little meat (usually sausages, ground meat, maybe some chicken if hidden in sauce), no cheese (other than on pizza) or most dairy products (other than ice cream :rotfl2:), no white sauces, no fish, no peanut butter. I know that sounds kind of bad but really isn't a problem in daily life. It is a problem in restaurants though. Especially the kids meals are usually either chicken or cheese. He does like pizza, french fries, soups, and loves vegetables!

So I am looking for ideas on places we would all enjoy. Mostly counter service but maybe one table service if it isn't outrageously expensive.

Thats my dd15 as well. She doesn't eat any meats unless its chicken or turkey (but doesn't like turkey legs). does not like pizza or corndogs. She will eat mac n cheese, grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken strips and cheese quesadillas. We also end up getting our kids at least one mickey pretzel each trip.

DS is not as picky. He loves pizza and corndogs, pasta and the usual mac n cheese and chicken strips. Both my kids just arent' meat eaters.

Its hard when we go to Disneyland to make everybody happy.

We like to eat in frontierland area. we pick up chicken tenders from stagedoor cafe and carry them to wherever dh and I want to eat - Rancho Zocalo, Hungry bear etc.

You can create your own pizza in the restaurant inside PPH. After they 'create' their masterpiece, they can watch it get loaded into the big pizza oven. My kids loved it and the food the adults had was good too (I had steak, my dad had fish and my mom had pasta). I think pizza can be found in most places really. It is on the buffet at Goofy's and Surf's Up and I know they also have it on the menu at Napa Rose. Good luck! I have a picky 8 year old and an even pickier 3 year old and it can be a real pain for planning. We didn't have ANY trouble on our DL trip though. Hope the same if true for you.

Oh, my picky ones loved the Chinese food from the stand on the pier. My son actually ate it several times. Just the chicken and rice thing for kids. But that doesn't sound like it would be a great option for your son, sorry.

Going out on a limb here to say that my favorite restaurant is Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney. I don't have kids and haven't seen their kid's menu, but their menu is huge and covers several cuisines, so it should be easy to find something for everyone.

I have an extremely picky 8 year old grandaughter. She is almost vegan. She does like pasta as long as it is plain. We eat at the plaza Inn. I get the chicken and she get the pasta without sauce. It comes with a drink, carrots, apples and some sort of cheesy bread. Rainforest cafe was also good and they were very helpful with her.
