Hi all

We are staying at the BWI in July. We aren’t doing a park our first day. Just a resort day. What restaurant you would recommend? We don’t mind traveling to another resort or a little walk somewhere. We are a couple with no kids in our 30’s. Our MK day I was thinking of Chef Mickey’s and our Epcot day I thinking of Kona Cafe. We are open to suggestions. Also, what time does the skyliner stop running? We haven’t been to Disney since 2019. I should also add that we aren’t ones to dress up so casual dining is preferred. Thanks as always!

Boma at AKL or The Boathouse at Disney Springs for arrival day. For your MK and Epcot days I would just eat in the parks. Our favorites at MK are Liberty Tree Tavern, Be Our Guest and Tony’s. At Epcot our favorites are Chefs de France, Le Cellier, Tutto Italia, Space220, and Coral Reef.

For a resort only arrival day I would do something in DS or at another resort. (When I have park days I like things that are convenient to the park.) Lots to choose from in DS. I would do Wine Bar George. (Or Boathouse or Homecomin'). For a resort meal, I would choose Jiko (or Sanaa, more casual).

As for casual, unless you are going to V&A you are fine if you look neat. You will see park attire at all other TS places.

Dinner at CG would also be nice. Have drinks at one of the monorail stops. Eat dinner. If you have an early dinner, come back later for fireworks. In the meantime you can visit resorts on the monorail loop. You can make a night out of monorail crawl, leisurely dinner, followed by fireworks.

If you are worried about arrival times, I would go to DS and eat at a CS there. Walk around and shop after.

For your MK day I prefer Skipper Canteen. Air conditioning, casual, and food is pretty consistent.

For Epcot I wouldn't choose Kona unless you want to visit Poly. I would eat and drink around WS. Sunshine Seasons if you want to relax in full A/C. Otherwise choose any of the decent restaurants in WS depending on your food preferences.

We usually head to Disney Springs on our arrival day for dinner. Lots of great options there but our favorite is Art Smith's Homecomin'.
That's our family tradition; we get there and go to DS's on our first night. So many dining options to choose from. Enjoy!

I would consider dining at one of the Swan/Dolphin restaurants (our favorite is bluezoo). You can make reservations on opentable, so if your flight is delayed or canceled, you can very easily cancel the reservation without penalty. All of the restaurants are within walking distance of BWI.

As PP mentioned, unless you want characters, I would skip Chef Mickey's and consider Steakhouse 71 at CR or even taking a boat ride to WL to eat at Whispering Canyon if you want to leave the park. If you would prefer staying in MK, consider Skipper Canteen. On your EP day, I would not travel all the way to Poly to eat (Kona doesn't warrant the trip, IMHO). There are a ton of great restaurants in EP - consider the lounge at Space 220 if you can get a reservation. We also like San Angel and Chefs.

We had a wonderful dinner on Sunday at Trattoria al Forno on the Boardwalk. Our server was great. He recommended the Crispy Pancetta Arrancini and the Shrimp Papardelle. Both were fabulous as was the Lasagna al Forno. Delicious and definitely a new favorite.

At Disney Springs our must-do restaurant is Wine Bar George! Love that place!

Thank you. We can walk to the Dolphin, correct?

If staying in BW area, we'd either shoot for Beaches & Cream if we anticipated being tired and wanted something close and easy. Otherwise, we'd probably do Disney Springs and hit Raglan Road or Boat House. Enzo's Hideaway was a hit for us last time, too.

Thank you. Maybe we will hit DS again.
