Any idea where to have lunch after a 10am Escape at Sunset Pointe? We only have 8 people total, and we're looking to book an ADR rather than have a catered event. I keep coming up with The Wave and the Grand Floridian Cafe. Any opinion? I'm open to suggestions as well!

Oh, and can you ride the Monorail in your wedding dress? That would be awesome! Haha Thanks everyone!

I'm in the process of switching from a DCL wedding, so ignore the ticker below!

yes you can ride the monorail in your dress! have you eaten at either of those places? the wave was good but i've not heard great things lately and i find the decor frankly very 1992 and beige and kind of sad..... so although i think they would maybe have more interesting food choices, i think the GF cafe is more wedding-y and of course, the whole GF has a great vibe like that. so i guess if i were set on a monorail resort and lunch, thats what i would do. although i could easily be talked into hitting the earliest buffett at park faire to see lady tremaine and the ugly step sisters (not in a park but i wonder if they would frown upon wedding attire in there, confuse the children and all that...)

When I saw the title of this thread, I was going to suggest the GF Cafe! It's a very pretty, wedding-y restaurant, and the staff there is SO nice. (DF and I ate there during our "engagement weekend" and five different staff members, including a few managers, came up to us to congratulate us! So nice.)

I started off looking at the rainforrest cafe in downtown disney a while back as its all nicely themed. I thought about combining that with a group ride on the characters in flight helium balloon. There will be loads of great places to go, im sure others will have some ideas :)

We had the same problem choosing where to eat after our escape wedding. We are going to either planet hollywood or t rex at downtown disney. Somewhere that isnt to fancy and have simple food that the kids would eat as we have two small children. Then me and OH will do a more special meal (somewhere like the chefs table at the V&A another night).

Thanks for the replies! I've never tried wither restaurant I mentioned. They seem to be the only ones available, besides Kona but we want to do that fro breakfast. I booked GF Cafe last night- it does seem more wedding-y. If we could do dinner we'd have a lot more options, but we want to stick with lunch since we have the Tomorrowland Terrace Wishes Dessert Party that night and I plan to eat my weight in delicious fatty goodness, haha. I'm still open to other options though!
